Leo's pov
I was sitting on the ground watching meggy acting like a drill Sargent to Mario,tari and luigi "why did I get dragged into this?" luigi asked
"We needed a fourth member and meggys old temates left" tari said "and with them gone.... You're our best option" Meggy said " what about Leo he's literally part cyborg" luigi said "he's your replacement if you get injured" meggy said "and plus saiko and the others are praticly on holidays right now" i said to them"don't worry Meggy my brother is good at dodging" Mario said before pulling ink mini gun i forgot what it was actually was Luigi then started runing "see ?" Mario said Meggy knocked the gun out of his hands "Mario this is serious!I need you to focus! DO NOT SCREW THIS UP!" Meggy yelled at him "ok." Mario said
They then started training with aiming
Mario was first which he missed a whole lot
Luigi was next he just panicked
Tari destroyed a tower
Next training exercise was a obstacle course
Luigi failed
Tari also failed but she got to obstacle two
Mario was well he just blew through it to get spaghetti just one plate of spaghetti Meggy was getting angrier and angrier by the second "come on! We need to train you guys aren't even trying!" Meggy said to them "Meggy....we are trying..." tari said " well you aren't trying hard enough!" Meggy yelled i then saw her reach a realization as she just walked away silently "welp that's my que see ya" I said to them "wait you can't just leave" tari said "I'm not her teammate now am I you guys go cheer her up I'm going to sleep" I said to them tari then gave me puppy dog eyes "god dammit fine" I said to them
Later we were on the same roof me and Meggy were a few weeks ago when I asked her if she had a crush on desti "we're going to win!" Tari said pulling me out of my thoughts Meggy looked at us "guys I'm sorry for-" Meggy was cut off by tari "it's okay ,we heard what you said you don't need to apologize for anything" tari said
"Yeah, its normal to get emotional over everything you care about.Its like when anyone around Mario mentions spaghetti." Luigi said
"DON'T TOUCH!" Mario said
"But I still yelled at you, and that's not okay.Winning Splatfest isn't worth it if I lose my friends along the way." Meggy said
"Aww, you'll never lose us, Meggy!" Tari said enthusiastically
"Yeah! Mario's got your back!" Mario said
"We fight for our friends!" Me and Luigi said happily Meggy looks at us happily
"Thanks guys!Who's ready to train?" Meggy asked "YEEEEESSSS!!!" All four of us yelled
After that we went to a classroom and started with the basics . We then went to target practice but this time it had points and tari did better for some reason next was dodging which Luigi did absolutely stunning after that it was an actual fight agains Mario and Meggy which Mario supprisingly won but Meggy got the last laugh given she shot mario into the water after that we were just chilling "you all did really well today" Meggy said everybody cheered before Mario got hit with purple ink "wtf" I then look over to see desti on her phone "don't make me laugh" desti said putting her phone away "desti?"
"Hello Meggy, it's been awhile" desti said waving "hello mayonnaise
"It's Mario" Mario said flipping her off
"Meggy who is this angsty freind of yours?
"I'm DESTI!!! Leader of th-" "of the octopussy's yea yeah nobody GIVES A FUCK about your group" I said cutting her off she looked at me pissed off at what I said but got to the point and looked at Meggy "you should pull out of the splatfest." 'ThaTs wHat sHe sAid'
' l please not now' "why are you so mean to us" Luigi said knocking me out of my thoughts "don't listen to her she's just taunting us because she knows we'll beat her" Meggy said "I'd like to see you try" she then clapped her hands and a helicopter flew above us "SHIT TAKE COVER" as I said that a ray of ink was fired at us I then look and see that desti is taking our weapons Mario tried to jump up to the helicopter to get them but he failed " what are we gonna do now" tari asked"looks like we'll have to kick some octoling ass..."
