25.) The Ring [2]

[YOONKOOK]

"I'm so sorry, hyung" Taehyung says as he looked at his brother with sadness and tears falling down his cheeks. Yoongi shook his head and slightly pushes Taehyung, crawling to the car, not caring if the pavement was hurting his palms, he needed to be close. Close to him. The love of his life.

"Hyung, please..." Taehyung says, trying to stop Yoongi, only to get pushed away.
"Hyung..." Taehyung says as he hears Yoongi sob, stopping. Yoongi sees Jungkook's phone, picking it up, it had cracks on it but it was working as he tries to turn it on.

As he turns it on, he sees that Jungkook had it on the messages app. He sobbed harder as he sees the text Jungkook had failed to send.

Yoongi shook his head. He should've checked his phone. He shouldn't have put it on silent. He should've taken his calls. He should've heard his voice. He should've known... As Yoongi was deep in his thoughts, he felt arms wrap around him, knowing it was Taehyung. The younger tries his best to comfort him.
"I should've known..." He says, saying to himself as Taehyung cried with him.

Yoongi opens his eyes and is met with bright lights. He looked around as he squints his eyes to adjust to the lights. He had noticed that he had rested his head on a bed. Looking up and sees a familiar face. A door opening made him turn his head.

"Hyung, you're awake" Taehyung says, smiling as he walked in, holding some snacks he probably had gotten from a vending machine.
"What happened?" Yoongi asks and Taehyung chuckles.

"Your sleep must've been so good, hyung... Kookie had been asking me to tell you to take a shower, he said you stink" Taehyung says as he placed down the snacks on the table on the room.
"Kookie...?" Yoongi says and Taehyung rolls his eyes.

"Your husband, silly... He had woken up an hour ago, well... You were asleep too, that's why you didn't know" Taehyung says, shaking his head. That's right. Jungkook managed to survive and it's all because of Yoongi not giving up on him. His husband is still with him. He didn't lose him. He will never lose him.

Yoongi smiles as he looks up at the sleeping figure on the bed, placing a kiss on the younger's knuckles.
"Thank you for not giving up... For not leaving me" Yoongi says as he held the hand that had the gold band that wrapped around the ring finger of the other.

Jungkook huffs as Yoongi hugs him tight, peppering his face with kisses.
"I told you that you stink, you haven't taken a shower for how long, hmm?" Jungkook says, he was obviously joking.

"Oh, you like my smell, love" Yoongi says and Jungkook rolls his eyes. It was true though.
"Shut up, you still stink" Jungkook says, huffing. Yoongi chuckles as he stared at Jungkook, the younger avoiding his gaze due to embarrassment.

"I will protect you more from now on..."
