I exit the class. 14:30, the was my last lesson for the day. I had two classes today.

"Hey, you done?" Sne tags along. "Yeah, and I'm exhausted too" I sigh. "Well my second class starts in ten minutes, it ends at 4. Are you leaving with me or...?" She asks.

"I'll be at the library, but I don't think I'm leaving with you" I answer her as we head out of the matric block.

"How will you get home? Will you call Zithulele?" She asks a little concerned. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine" I look in the direction of the library.

"Well .... Okay, stay safe" We hug before I turn away, walking into the library. This school has one huge ass library.

I spend most of my time here so I knuw my way around. "Morning Ms Levante" I softly greet her as I walk towards my favourite isle, it's quiet and barley has people.

The fiction and Romance isle. This is where I feed all my delusions. This area is at the far back of the library, it's dimed and unknown to the eye of almost everyone.

I sit on one of the beanbag chairs as my eyes scroll over the books. I've read almost all the bokks on this isle.

My eyes stop scanning once they land on one specific book. Ontop of the shelf is a note written. 'New in store' .I almost scream as I get up picking one of the books there.

"The love hypothesis"

I've been searching for this book everywhere. I sit back down on the beanbag chair, I put on my airpods and indulge myself in the pages.

After what feels like forever I feel some sort of presence in the area. I take off my airpods and turn around, I almost scream but compose myself.

"You scared the shit out of me" I say out of shock. "I apologize" He says still staring at me.

"Well?" I ask. "What?" He slowly looks away from my eyes. "Why'd you want to meet me here for?'' I raise an eyebrow.

"Nothing. You can carry on with your reading" He shrugs as he sits ontop of the table.

"That's not allowed" I point at the sign written. 'Book's only'. "Whose going to stop me?" He looks down at the book I'm reading.

I gnore him and pick my book up continuing where I left off, without my airpods this time. I don't want to seem rude.

"You know, it's hard to concentrate when someone is drilling hole into your face, using their eyes" I look up with a sigh.

"Okay" He ignores my statement. "Will you stop looking at me like that?" I hiss out, sounding frustrated.

"I'm not 'looking at you like that' " He mocks me. "You know what it's fine. I'll just leave" I get up reaching for my bag.

He pulls it away from my reach. "Melokuhle" I sigh. "What?" A sinister smirk plays on his face.

"Keep it" I simply say as I turn to walk away. He grabs my arm pulling me bag. "Yini inkinga yakho kahle kahle?" I fold my arms around myself.

"I need to make sure you don't tell anyone about last night" He lowers his voice.

"I haven't and I won't tell anyone Melokuhle. I've been keeping this to myself ever since. I swear I won't tell anyone" I try to assure him.

"Why should I tryst you? Why shouldn't I just end all this and place a bullet through your head?" His voice is now montone.

My heart drops as I stay silent looking away from him. "C-Can I leave?" I clear my throat as I try to push the memories away.

"No, sit down" He offers and I shake my head no. My phone rings before he can respond.

Me:
Hello?

Zithulele:
Ukuphi?

Me:
I'm still at school, I'll be home soon tho.

Zithulele:
It's getting late

Me:
I'm on my way.

Zithulele:
Okay. Bye, I love you

Me:
I love you too

I place my phone back into my pocket. "I'm sorry, I have to go" I reach for my bag once again..

"I'll take you home. Right after we finish this conversation" He offers. "I have to get him, it's getting dark" I argue.

"It's barley 6. I'll get you home in time before your brother calls again" How does he know that?!

"What do you want to talk about?" My foot anxiously taps onto the ground. "Every Monday and Friday. We meet here" He says.

"I can't come on Fridays" I mutter. "Why not?" He frowns. "I have curfew" I mumble.

"At your grown age?" He smiles mockingly and I remain silent. "I'll drop you off before your curfew'' He emphasizes the word 'curfew'.

"You don't understand." I sigh. "Make me understand" He pushes out. "My brother fetches ne from school" I say.

"Then I'll come get you from your house. It's settled then." My eyes widen. "No" I argue.

"Why not? Huh? Olwethu it's either you agree to see me..." He keeps quiet for a moment

"Or?" I raise an eyebrow at him. "I'm walking into your house and dragging you out. With your brother watching me" He threatens.

"Haibo. Ucabanga ukuthi ungubani ukuthi ulawule impilo YAMI?! Uma ngingafuni ukukubona, angifuni ukukubona Melokuhle!" I whisper shout making surr to not disturb anyone, as empty as the library is.

"Olwethu" He says with anger lacing his face. "Yini?" I look him in the eye, trying my luck.

"Ubani okunike imvume yokungiphakamisela izwi?" I quickly look down, avoiding his gaze.

"Awusakwazi ukukhuluma manje? Uma ngikhuluma nawe ngifuna impendulo" He steps closer and I take a step back.

"Ngiyaxolisa" I whisper, loud enough for him to hear. "Uma uphinda ungiphakamisela izwi, ngeke ngingabaze ukukubulala" He says.

"Understood?" He asks and I look back down with tears on the verge of coming out.

I hide my shaking hand behind my back as I try to get my heart to beat normally.

"Ngikhuluma ngedwa?" I can hear the anger in his voice, all because I shouted at him?

"I-I understand" Without a second thought, I grab my bag, turn around and walk away.
