STUART’S POV

At first the opposition created some trouble when Pearl was called and later she gave her statements. The opposition was not willing to accept the verbal statements from Pearl and thus they stated Pearl’s statements are as baseless. But, our lawyer played superbly and asked the court whether he can show the next evidence which was a recording . This recording was done secretly by Dee when we went to meet with Daryl Mitchell . The recording was played and it was clear that everything was plotted by Daryl Mitchell , their lawyer could not believe what heck of a blunder mistake their client has done . Their all plan went into vain as they don’t have any supporting arguments for the recording .

The judges and the jury members were satisfied with the shown evidences and it seemed like they will give their decision on the basis of this two evidences , but our lawyer had some other plan . There are many unregistered cases against Daryl  Mitchell , so it will be unfair if he gets punishment for just one case , he needs to face the consequences of all the crimes that he has committed till now . So in order to elaborate his other crimes  Mr Derek Brown was called on the dias .

Calling Derek Brown for the evidence was like a checkmate to the Mitchell’s . The Mitchell’s has already lost their main players only their pawns are left  and he  knows that the pawns cannot protect their king from this checkmate . Everyone’s face on the Mitchell’s camp was turned into a shock and they were all dumbfounded as they cannot believe this is the second instance when their own is going against them . At first it was their own daughter and now their old driver .

Mr Derek Brown went towards the dice and took his place . He took the oath of telling the truth .

“ So , Mr Brown tell us  how you know Daryl Mitchell ? “ Mr Adam asked . “ My  Lord , I am Derek Brown and I know Daryl Mitchell because I was his old driver “ he replied . “ Brown , you were the eye witness of this case , can you tell us  what happened that night ? “ Mr Adam asked . “ Prosecution , we already know the truth , why are you  wasting the time ? “ the judge asked . “ Sorry my Lord , I know , you all know the truth but I think the opposition still has some doubt and that’s the reason they asked for time . To make it clear to them I am just asking my evidence to describe once again in brief “ Mr Adam replied with a smirk while he was glancing at Kemp who was confident minutes ago has now changed into a wet cat  . “ Okay , but describe in brief “ the judge ordered . “ I will my Lord “ Brown replied .

“ My Lord , it was 31st December when this horrible incident happened . You all know on the last day of the year ,  people generally loves to do party and this goes same for Daryl Mitchell . I was working as a driver for the Mitchell’s for the last 25 years and Mr Mitchell used to take me to wherever he went , I was his personal driver , that day also he took me to that  bar for party . Since , I don’t drink , I waited on the parking lot while my master was enjoying inside . After 3 hours I received a call from him that his party is over and he want to return , so I went inside to bring him . When I went inside , I can see he was full and out of control . He has lost all his senses while drinking and only rambling absurd things . I brought him outside and offered him water he drank and I opened the passenger seat so that he can take his seat but he refused . He told me to give  him the car’s keys because he want to drive today . I was shocked as he was in no condition to drive and that too on busy roads . At first I refused , but he forced me to give him the keys . I was helpless as I was just a driver and he was the owner . Moreover he was threatening me that he will take away my job and job was important for me so I gave him the keys . I believe this was the worst mistake of my life “ he stopped and gulped sown some water .
