CHAPTER XIII

STUART’S POV

Three days has passed by since Liam was discharged from the hospital . After paying the hospital bill , we returned . While returning , I went to Pearl’s house to spend some quality time with her and Liam.

When we got down from our car , the owner followed us , but as soon he saw us his expression was changed into a fear .

I went towards her house by carrying Liam on my lap while Pearl opened the door for us . It looked like a happy family returning from a vacation . We entered in the house , today I got to look at the house clearly . It is  a small house just like a condo , it reminded me of our old house where we used to live .

I dropped Liam on the couch while Pearl got busy in making coffee for us . I spend some hours with them , but I can notice Pearl was happy all the time when I was present there  , her jolly nature is returning back which was lost in those past years  .

I got a liking towards her .

Wait a second !!! Is I am again falling for Pearl? I don’t know but the emotions in me tells that only .

It can be true , as deep in my heart I still love her and can’t think to love anyone else other than her .

But , what about her ? Does she still loves me or it’s just one sided , she mentioned that , back then when she was do act of loving me , she unknowingly  felt in true love with me but does she still  has anything left in her heart for me ? I don’t know .

Present day ……

I was sitting in my cabin , checking the accounts file of previous year that Tom has given to me . While I was checking the file , my phone buzzed indicating that I received a message in my phone , but  I didn’t paid any attention to it as I thought it may be the useless message from the telecom company and again got myself busy on the file .

After five minutes , my phone again buzzed , this time I kept the file aside and grabbed my phone from the table . I checked and found that I received two messages from Daisy on whatsapp . First was one a video and second one was a text  “ seen ? “

I downloaded the video and checked it . I was amazed after I saw the video , it was Liam . He was eating cookie and milk while taking the sip of the milk a cat like whiskers was forming above his lips .

I watched the video multiple times and a smile was always pasted on my lips during the whole period of time . While looking at the video , the surrounding seemed quite familiar to me , this time I focused more on the surroundings of the video . Now I got to know where it is , it is infact our outlet and it is this outlet only .

I checked the computer screen where all the cctv’s current videos are shown , there I noticed Dee was sitting with a boy . The boy was not visible as the camera was placed in such a way that it will show his back . To check whether it is actually Liam or not I went outside .

I went outside and I was correct , it was infact Liam sitting with Dee beside the counter .

As soon as Liam saw me he screamed “ onkle ( uncle ) Stuartttttt “ towards me with great excitement .

By his screaming , I think ninety percent of the people in the shop turned towards me giving me the lime light . I noticed Pearl rolled her eyes on her son , but Dee  beckoned her to be calm as it is not a big issue .
