"I thought you were my girlfriend sweetheart." I said without breaking eye contact with her. I know Panchi must have come to talk about last night and probably to say that it was a misunderstanding. But claiming her as mine gave me a sense of satisfaction even if it was for a second.

"Right. Um about that. I'm sorry if I gave you any wrong idea. It was just to make Aryan jealous and make him regret his decision. Thank you for helping. And I'm sorry for-" She said looking at my swollen eye. I couldn't stop staring at the mole above her lip. For a moment I thought about kissing her. But the cheer of my team after the game ended brought me back to the real world.

Panchi was about to leave when I stopped her, "Panchi wait." She turned towards me. "You are more than what you think about yourself. And he will definitely regret hurting you." I told her when a group of players from the hockey team passing by pushed her. She was about to fall when I held her by waist and pulled her towards me and hugged her.

My mind was playing tricks on me because I thought she hugged me back. I could feel the soft material of her top against my tee. She smelled like fresh strawberries. I wanted keep her forever in my arms. But she freed herself and looked around if someone saw us. "It is ok honey no one saw us. And even if someone sees us it doesn't matter. I am your boyfriend remember?" I told her with a smug face.

She rolled her eyes and sighed as if preparing for a long fight. "Why do you keep doing this? Helping me and making me think maybe I was wrong about you. Then acting like a jerk and reminding me who you truly are." She said and glared at me with those big eyes of hers. I could tell she was wearing kajal which she smudged by crying. "That's who I am little sparrow. A villain disguised as a hero." I told her taking a step closer.

"Your words not mine. Remember you said this the first I came to get you and my brother from the principal's office." I lowered my head and whispered in her ear. I remember everything about her but that was the exact moment I fell in love with her. She was the only girl in the whole college who wasn't attracted towards me and neither did she ever backed off from fighting me. There was a different kind of fire in her eyes.

Before Panchi could respond Sid shouted her name from a distance and we both looked at him "there you are. Why aren't you answering my calls?" he said pointing at the phone in his hand. "What do you want Sid?" I asked him while Panchi searched for her phone in her bag. From the moment Sid introduced her to me I knew this girl would be trouble one way or the other. "Oh yeah mom called and told me to invite P over for dinner. And told you to reach home early and help her in the kitchen. And neither of you can say no. Mom's orders." Sid said making an apologetic face.

Helping my mom in the kitchen I told her everything about Panchi's break up and the fight Aryan and I had at the club and about the office incident earlier leaving all the details about Panchi calling me her boyfriend and some other stuff."I'm glad that you helped Panchi but beta you have to take care of yourself also." Mom said cupping my face.

My parents were never strict with me or Sid. They always encouraged us to make our own mistakes and learn from them. And Panchi was like a daughter my parents always wanted. "Don't worry massi your son is very brave when it comes to fighting. Its only topics like love and feelings he can't handle. Right Vihu?" Vartika said standing behind me.

She sat on the counter and winked at me earning a deadly glare from me. "I think we should discuss your love life Tiku. I'm sure its way more interesting than mine." I said and smirked at her. No doubt both our parents were very cool but there were some matters we only shared with each other. Since Vartika was done with all her medical studies her parents wanted her to settle down so this was her weak spot. Before she could reply and start a verbal fight mom told us to leave the kitchen and set up the dinner table. "Thinking of a comeback?" I asked her and she punched me hard on my arm. She was always strong according to her size. I fake cried and then we both laughed.
