Chapter 17

AN: Tris is at 8 1/2 months pregnant so like the last week of the 8 months.

Tris POV
I'm still all in bed and stuff but I can walk around now without getting yelled at by Tobias.I sit up with Tobias's head in my lap I guess he fell asleep like that. I don't mind it, I start to play with his hair he's let it get a little long, I'll have to cut it again. He also is starting to get a beard which I don't really like it scratchy when I kiss him, but I understand he's been working a lot like more than ever.Its all Eric's fault he said he loved me and tried to kiss me during the end of initiation. I said no I hate you and ever since then he's been a ass to Tobias he became assistant leader to Max, Max has been really sick lately he may not have a lot of time left. Tobias has to work late tonight like until midnight and he barely gets any sleep with me and the baby. I look at the clock 6:45 he has work at 7 so I should probably wake him up."Tobias, baby wake up it's almost 7."I whisper into his ear. He moans and lifts up his head I move my head back so we don't hit each other."Hmm why?"Tobias groans."Because if you don't Eric will kill you and you'll be fired."I say."So Eric is a ass." Tobias yawns."Ok then if you don't wake up you don't get a kiss."I say teasing him.His head pops up and he jumps out of bed."Ok I'm up!" Tobias yells,I laugh."So I can kiss you know?" Tobias says with puppy dog eyes."Mmm nope."I say turning my head and crossing my arms."Ugh Trissss!" Tobias whines I giggle."Ok Tobias you can kiss me." I say he leans in and kisses me, I pull apart."Get dressed I'll see you soon."I add kissing his cheek.He gets dressed in all black like usual. "Love you Tris love you Shai."Tobias says walking out the door. Ugh I don't deserve him he's so much better than me. I get up to get something to eat I find some fruit loops and eat them.Then I hear my phone ring from in the bedroom, I shuffle to get it.

It's Shailene Shai for short-Tris

Then the line goes dead. I fall to the bed crying no she can't have my baby no! She's my baby I've tried to hard to give her up. I suddenly feel scared, I need Tobias he will protect me.No he has work. Maybe I can shop for the baby and the baby's room. Ya ok I can do that. I get into a back tank top a red baggy sweater, and black jeans. I put on black furry boots and head for the baby store.I walk I and see Tori! "Hey Tori!"I shout she turns and runs over to hug me."Hey how's the baby?" She asks."Its a girl her name is Shailene and she's doin good."I say smiling."Can I help you shop for her?"She asks."Yes please I have no idea what I'm doing." We laugh and start shopping for wallpaper I see different designs until Tori finds one of little ducks with a light blue and pink background I nod and we put it in our cart. We walk to the cribs I find some that are White, pink,blue,green, and yellow. I look t the yellow one and Tori grabs it and puts it in. Then we go to the baby supplies we get baby diapers, baby clothes,baby bottles,a stroller,pacifiers I found one that said Daddy's girl I thought Tobias would like it. I got to pay but Tori stops me."Hey let me pay its the least I can do."Tori says I nod slightly. Apparently Tori can't have kids which is really sad she's really good with kids. She pays and we go home to set up. Once were there we put on the wallpaper, build the crib which ended up with us screaming at it! Anyway we finish everything it looks just like in the movies just perfect we covered almost everything. I want to buy some stuff with Tobias, Tori leaves and I thank her. I look at the time it's 12:46 I sigh. I look at the calendar I have a doctors appointment for my ultrasound I completely forgot! I call Tobias and he heads home. "Hey babe."Tobias says making me jump."Hey."I say. "Come here I have something to show you!" I add leading him into the baby room. Tobias looks shocked but I can tell he's happy."Tris I love it! And so will this little baby!"Tobias says smiling he kisses me and it gets passionate until I get a really bad cramp and pull away. "Sorry cramp."I say holding my stomach."Hey its ok I understand! I'm so excited to get our ultrasound pictures."Tobias says helping me stand back up."Me to u bet she's beautiful I can't wait."I say we head out to the infirmary. "Were here for Tris Prior."Tobias says.The nurse Misty takes us into a room. I do the same thing as last time"Well the baby is very healthy and she's growing great she's almost ready to pop out." Misty says I laugh a little."I'll be back with your pictures."Misty adds.I smile politely and she leaves."Tobias isn't Eric mad at you,you had a late sift."I say."Ph its my lunch break and I really wanna see those pictures."Tobias says I smile and Tobias kisses my forehead.Misty walks back in with the pictures I look at them she's so beautiful I love her."Shes beautiful."Tobias whispers."Yeah she really is."I whisper back."Well congrats see you when the baby comes you're free to go."Misty says.We leave for home with the pictures I study them they are so beautiful. We get home and we put the first picture in a frame and we put it on our shelf in out bedroom. And the rest we staple across the wall of Shai's room so she'll know what she use to look like."This looks great."I say Tobias smiles and kisses me.But then I remember the call from Jeanine, I have to tell Tobias I can't keep this a secret."Tobias."I say but he keeps kissing me."Tobias stop."I say he doesn't stop."Tobias please stop."I say and start to tear up."Im sorry Tris what happened?"He asks.I lead him into the living room and we sit on the couch."Tobias, Jeanine called me."I say with my head down."What did she say?" Tobias asks sorta mean."She wants Shai, I think she's coming or something but she kept saying that she wants to test Shai."I say and Tobias holds me."Don't worry she can't have her I'll kill her first."Tobias says tightening his grip."I said that to."I mumble."Shit I have to go back to work Eric is gonna kill me."Tobias says kissing my head."I wish you could stay with me."I say kissing him back."I know, I wish I could to I'll see you soon be safe."Tobias says leaving.Great now I'm all alone with nothing to do.I turn on Netflix and watch Mean Girls.I honestly love this movie I watch it all the time.I miss the old Linsey Lohan now she's been in jail more times than I can count.I love the music in this movie to, well I love pretty much any music. Then I hear a knock on the door I panic what if it's Jeanine?! I grab a baseball bat and open the door,with my eyes closed."Hi Tris!" Oh thank god it's only Uriah."Ugh Uriah you scared me to death."I say opening my eyes.He smiles and walks to the fridge."Hey got any Dauntless cake?"He asks I laugh and nod."Ok good cause Zeke wouldn't let me have any."He says pouting."Eh, you can have some."I say.He lights up and grabs it out of the fridge. Then he does something I wouldn't even expect out of a 3 year old.He slams his face right into the cake and starts eating it."Oh baby,I've missed your tastyness."He moans into the cake."Um Uriah I don't think that's how your suppose to eat it."I say laughing hysterically,he looks up and has a sad face he says"What, what do you mean?" Then pouts."I mean that your suppose to get a plate cut a slice and eat it with a fork, like a normal person."I say walking up to him."Whats the fun in that?"He asks clearly confused."Cause then you don't have a mess everywhere."I say patting his head."Hm, well anyway when Shai is born and I teach her how to eat cake?" He asks licking cake off himself."Uh no 1.Shes a baby 2. The way you eat cake no way." I say."Ugh fine but can we hang out?"He asks again jumping up and down."Um sure when she gets use to you and learns who you are."I agree she should be able to hang out with Uri he's a really fun guy. "Yay!" He shouts. "Well I'm gonna go back to Marlene."He says trying to leave."Uh uh, you have to clean up you're mess."I say pointing to his mess."Ugh fine."He says rolling his eyes. Eventually he cleans up all the cake and I let him leave.I resume my movie and lay on the couch.When the movie ends I turn on Pandora and listen to Avril Lavigne. Avril is pretty cool I like her music I've never listened to her in abnegation, music wasn't even allowed. I hate the abnegation rules I hate the clothes,the houses,the food,and the memories. I miss having a mom and dad, I never really liked my dad he was always strict, but my mom she let me break the rules she let me play and laugh and do anything I wanted well almost.I never expected mom to agree with disowning me,dad maybe but I could tell that something was wrong like she didn't wanna say what she did like my dad was forcing her or something. I get up and walk into the bedroom I open my drawer, I see a family picture my mom, forced to disown me,my father who hates me, a brother who was a traitor who tried to kill me, then there's me a small girl who was always different. I walk back into the living room and turn on the fire place, I throw the picture in and burn it. I'm no longer tris the selfless, or Tris the brave, I'm Tris and I'm divergent I cannot be controlled.
