Today is the day I'm having my baby. Zion and I have been in the house chilling while preparing for my birth. We had everything packed and sitting in the front room. I had my hair braided up and I was already showered.
Zion and I were in the front room sitting on the couch. We were sitting on waterproof sheets with candles lit and lights off. We were listening to calming music as she massaged my body. I was having contractions, but they weren't strong or consistent enough to go to the hospital.
"You okay baby??" Zion asked kissing my back
"I'm okay..." I said softly
I leaned back against her as she rubbed my belly.
"He's been active??" Zion asked
"Very..." "More active today than ever..." I said
She kissed my cheek as I closed my eyes.
"I love you..." she said kissing my cheek again
"I love you too baby..." I said placing my hand on top of hers
She continued to hold me and I ended up falling asleep.

I woke to him going crazy in my belly. I contraction hit me making me scream. I heard moving and saw Zion flying downstairs.
"What's wrong??" She asked
"Intense contraction..." I said looking at her
"You ready to head to the hospital??" She asked
Before I could answer another contraction came. I let out deep breaths as I nodded. She started helping me off the couch.
"I've already got everything in the car was just waiting on you..." she said
She carried me bridal style to the car and put me in. She ran to the driver's side and then got in. She pressed the button in her car to open the garage. The garage opened, we pulled out then she pressed the button to close it back.
"You need me to call Mona and Melody??" She asked and I nodded
She grabbed her phone and called. Mom answer instantly.
"Hello..." she answered in a sleepy voice
"It's time..." Zion said
"Where are y'all??" She asked
"On the way to the hospital closest to us..." Zion said
"We're on the way..." Mom said before Zion hung up
Zion placed her hand on my thigh as she sped to the hospital. We got there, and she went in and grabbed a wheelchair. She helped me out when another contraction occurred. Zion helped me with breathing to get through it. She finally sat me down and wheeled me in.
She told them what was going on and they instantly took me to the back to a room. They got me outta my clothes into a hospital gown. The nurse hooked me to the baby monitor and IV. We were listening to his heartbeat as Zion kept me company.
"How are you feeling??" She asked kissing the back of my hand
"I'm okay..." I said before another contraction came through "Fuckkkk..."
"Breathe baby, breathe..." Zion said looking at me as I took deep breaths to get through it
Once it passed and looked at Zion.
"Call to see where Mom and Melody are at..." I said
She reached into her pocket to call them.
"Hey, she told me to call to see where y'all at..." she said
"She said they're walking through the door..." she said and I nodded
"Okay..." Zion said before hanging up
She kissed my forehead as she rubbed my thigh comforting me. Shortly after, Mom and Melody walked in.
"Hey Sweetie..." Mom said smiling before kissing my forehead
"Hey..." I said softly
"How are you feeling??" Melody asked
"I'm doing fine for right now..." I said and she nodded "Having contractions??"
"Yes..." I said nodded
"How far along are they??" Mom asked
I shook my head cuz I didn't know.
"They are 9 minutes apart and they last for like 40 seconds..." Zion said making us look at her
"What??" She asked
"You have been timing them??" I asked smiling
"Yeah. That book you bought, but never read. I read it and it says it's good to know how far they are and how long they last..." Zion says looking at me
I tapped her arm, she lifted up, and I pecked her lips. She pulled away and we smiled at each other.
We were just in there together, chilling. That was until the contractions hit. We called our friends and told them what was going on. I told them to come later cuz I wanted them to see the baby at the same time. We talked to them for a while before hanging up.
My contraction started coming frequently. They started to be like 5 minutes apart and lasting a whole minute. Mom said it was time for the epidural so I told them to bring it on.
They brought it and put it into my back. Zion was cringing. She was so dramatic. Once they were done, they told me they might have to break my water cuz my contraction were frequent, but my water hasn't broken yet. Soon as she said that, liquid started coming out.
"Her water just broke..." Melody said looking at the nurse
"Well scratch that..." the nurse said

IT WAS TIME TO PUSH!!!
Zion was comforting me cuz I was scared. Mom with encouraging words, and Melody was ready for me to push.
The 3 pushes were hell. They gave me a break as tears rolled down my face.
"You doing Great baby..." Zion said before kissing my forehead
It was time for 3 more pushes. I did those and they started to see the top of his head.
"Just a few more Sweetie..." Mom said as Zion wiped my forehead
I took a deep breath and I gave 3 of the hardest pushes. He slipped right out on the last push. They took all the mucus and stuff out of his throat then laid him on my chest. His little cries could be heard throughout the room. I looked at him as more tears fell down my face. I looked up at Zion. She was staring at him with teary eyes. She looked at me and we smiled at each other.
"I love you..." she said softly
"I love you too..." I said before she passionately kissed me
