‘Um… no.’ I answered uncertainly.

‘Well that won’t do. I am re-proscribing you and I expect you to take them daily. You will also be starting school counselling as soon as you go back. That will take place at least twice a week, maybe more. I will be checking with your counsellor that you have been taking your pills. Please do not endanger yourself greater by not taking the pills. I do not want you back in this hospital for the same reason for the third time, which will not do. Now I am afraid you may have to stay for another week or so and you will be under testing for a couple of days.’ She spoke. When she finally finished, she ran a few tests and left me alone in my room, leaving me with a head full load of confusion.

**

A week past and I was finally getting ready to leave the hospital. I had been informed that comas were rare and there was a chance I couldn’t have woken up from it. Well, lucky me…

Cole and I hadn’t spoken since the day I awoke. I saw him outside my room every now and again and I even caught him in my room once when I was asleep but we never spoke, not once.

‘I cannot believe you finally get to come back to school! Even if you do have to see a counsellor… Avery you know I’m always here for you.’ said Kiren seriously as he was driving me back to the Academy. ‘ I know… and I know… and I know…’ I said with a smirk. ‘I just can’t believe your parents got you an Audi R8! This is like the best car in the world! And trusting your driving, I almost pity the car.’ I said as I poked me tongue out at him.

‘Well har har!’ he said sarcastically.

As we finally pulled up into the school, it was afternoon.

We finally got out of the car ‘I hope there isn’t any rumours or anything going around about me…’ I said out loud.

Kiren laughed beside me before he spoke ‘Actually… you would be surprisingly glad to find out how supportive the school has been… they even made you a card!’

I giggled nonstop as I really was finding this hilarious. When I finally got my laughing under control, I looked over at Kiren who had an amused look to his face ‘Shall we get to it then?’ he asked, still smirking.

‘Where to then cowboy?’ I asked jokingly.

‘To make the most of it!’

‘The most of what?’ I asked.

‘You being out the hospital… duh!’

‘Oh… right…’ I said, feeling stupid.

Kiren then stopped walking out of nowhere as I turned around to meet his expression; one of which I didn’t recognise.

‘I have to uhh… tell you something Avery.’

My heart stopped beating as I gave him a confused look ‘Yes?’ I asked carefully.

‘Do you remember Leon?’ he asked cautiously.

‘Like Leon the cop?’

‘The very same. Well… while you were in the hospital, he came and visited you a couple of times and we began to talk a lot and I guess it just happened.’ He said with a smile creeping its way onto his features.

It meaning you and… him… like together?’ I asked breathless.

‘Don’t sound so surprised… he’s hot and you know it.’

‘Haha maybe… But I just cannot believe it… he’s your first boyfriend oh my gosh! How romantic… and he’s a cop!’

He nodded eagerly as we both burst up in laughter ‘He even took me out on a couple of dates… he’s really sweet.’
