"Mr. 001, despite your high rank and the fact that you almost became my immediate superior, and only by just a small margin," 021 turned around and continued stiffly, "but I have to remind you that you are currently BEING PUNISHED."

She specially emphasized the last two words.

Everyone couldn't help but snicker at that.

Despite how much she was trying to keep up her professional demeanor, at this point, even the cold 021 had gotten so fucking fed up with Qin Jiu's bullshit.

078 knew that the current 021's attitude wasn't as bad as that of her future self, but still, he couldn't help but try to scooch away as Shu Xue patted 021's back gently to calm her down.

After she was done, she turned to You Huo and said, "You too."

Qin Jiu nodded: "Thank you for reminding me, but if I remember correctly, there seems to be no rule that says: Invigilators who are being punished cannot stop home in between punishments?"

"Because invigilators who get punishments don't have the fucking audacity to ask to go home, you asshole." A moderate laughed cheerily, "But go on, go on, I want to see this play out."

After he was done saying that, he even asked 922 and 154: "Is there?"

A sour expression crossed 021's face.

922 was still recovering from the shock of "his boss inviting Invigilator A home" and his mind had gone offline.

154 said: "No."

154 would always be on his boss's side.

Wen Yuan let out a dying noise, as some people gazed over at them.

154 also wilted slightly, but stood his ground. He wasn't entirely sure of the rules the System had added, but he was a former part of the System, and it was in his nature to ensure that he knew all the rules so he could make sure they were all enforced.

If his future self was saying that with so much conviction, then there probably wasn't a rule like that, which made this an objective argument, determining whether there was a rule like that or not, rather than a subjective one where he was just taking Qin Jiu's side.

154 certainly preferred having more objective arguments, and he suspected it was his nature as a program that made his preferences tend towards solving more binary issues.

Both sides were as clear as black and white, 0 and 1, and it was just easier to determine what was right or wrong.

Thinking that his answer might not be enough, he turned and repeated it to 021: "There are indeed none."

"..."

021 glared at him.

"That's cheating! Don't gang up on her!" An invigilator crossed her arms, glaring more at Qin Jiu than the two subordinates who were taking sides, "You can't get your subordinates to back you up!"

"How is it cheating if there isn't even a rule in the first place?" Qin Jiu asked mockingly, almost as if he were challenging the others to find a way to rebut his point.

Of course, there aren't any damned rules like that. Because there hasn't been an invigilator like your boss before. You should know that too, okay?

There was a reason why the System considered Qin Jiu a huge pain in the ass; he would always end up in some kind of obscure situation which allowed him to unearth some kind of loophole that the System never considered, and the System could only watch him fuck everything up like a psycho terrorist while it malded at its inability to stop him due to the lack of rules it could enforce.
