You Huo straightened out his outfit and walked into the common room, with Qin Jiu by his side, hovering just over his shoulder.

Upon hearing their footsteps, almost everyone in the room turned to look over at them, as everyone fell quiet.

Almost as fast as they turned to see what was going on, upon seeing the two terrifying demon kings return, all the examinees promptly turned away, and attempted to pretend that they didn't notice anything amiss, going back to their usual activities... which pretty much just consisted of looking blankly at their phones or staring dumbly at their empty plates.

The moderates looked rather conflicted and constipated, their eyes constantly flickering from You Huo, to Qin Jiu, then back to You Huo, with the sole exception of Chu Yue. She had noticed their slightly ruffled clothes almost immediately, and couldn't help but cover her mouth with her hands in a failed attempt to stifle her laughter.

Noticing the small cut on the side of You Huo's lip, 021 turned pale, and she pressed her hands together, muttering under her breath, "Fuck..."

Gao Qi was just about to explode before a hardliner flicked the cap off a bottle of beer and shoved it down his throat, nearly making Gao Qi choke and temporarily redirecting his attention away from the duo.

"Oi, guys!" Chu Yue waved the two over, "We were wondering when you'd show yourselves... Wen Yuan made some food for you guys."

"Oh, he did?" Qin Jiu perked up, and looked around, attempting to find his future subordinate, only to notice that Wen Yuan was lying against the table, instead of just looking like he lost his soul, this time, his soul had completely left his body and ascended to heaven, with 154 patting his head gently.

Luckily, Chu Yue cut Qin Jiu off before he could make some kind of teasing remark, and shoved Wen Yuan's cooked food in front of their faces, "Hurry up, we've only got a maybe twenty minutes left."

Wen Yuan's cooking wasn't up to par with his usual cooking, though it was still delicious, but it didn't have that certain burst of flavor that made it obvious who the chef was.

Not that anyone blamed him, though... learning that You Huo and Qin Jiu had been in a relationship before was surely enough to fry any remaining braincells Wen Yuan had.

...

It didn't take the two long to finish their meal, and within a few minutes, everyone had been ushered back into the main room, settling down comfortably, and continuing the viewing experience.

Overly intimate relationship?

Invigilator A?

Asterisk?

Gao Qi couldn't help but let out another loud groan, completely masking the other tired, exasperated sounds made by the other moderates.

They already had a crisis about this once already... did they really have to rehash it again!?

Qin Jiu: "..."

It was just a few words but anything you picked out led to a lot of questions.

Then again, it wasn't like 001 knew any better at that point of time...

Heck, even GIN, right about now, just had this realization and reconciliation with You Huo...

Qin Jiu was usually not this bored nor did he have the hobby of going through other people's violation records.

"What kind of person would want to go through other people's violation records for fun?" An examinee grumbled.
