Knowing 154's true identity, You Huo, Chu Yue, Qin Jiu, Wen Yuan, and Shu Xue, had a sneaking suspicion of why 154 had been involved in this; if this current system was tinkering with something, it shouldn't effect them, but 154 was a program, and used to be a part of the System, resulting in him being accidentally synced to whatever "additional features" are being implemented.

Chu Yue sighed, "Can this be fixed?"

「This issue cannot be fixed any time soon. It is suggested that you continue with the viewing experience.」

"And leave him to freeze!?" Qin Jiu demanded. It really wasn't fair for him to suffer from this kind of cold for who knows how long... especially when he had done absolutely nothing to deserve it!

「While he would be able to feel whatever his future self is feeling, these effects will have no bearing on his current form, and he will not be permanently affected. Any afflicted effects would be removed when the situation in question is over.」

That did not make them feel any better. Even if he wasn't actually going to suffer from frostbite or hypothermia, just the numbing feeling itself was far too much to bear.

"I'll be fine." 154 squeaked weakly, still shivering, trying his best to conserve what little body heat he had left, subconsciously snuggling towards the closest source of warmth like a cat... which happened to be Wen Yuan.

"If we're going to argue with this system, do it later." Chu Yue chided, glancing over at the poor little shivering 154, "It seems like the earlier we get past this portion, the earlier he'll recover."

No one wanted to argue with Chu Yue, and they all turned back to the viewing experience.

154 would have never thought that, as an invigilator, his life would be more thrilling than that of the examinees.

Some of the original invigilators snorted. Yeah, that was exactly what they felt when Qin Jiu entered the System, constantly calling then to ask dumb questions, getting escorted to the confinement rooms or to the White Light District...

Now imagine that, but way more than two times worst, because You Huo and Qin Jiu's insanity were just feeding off each other as they wrecked havoc, growing more and more out of control like some sort of cancerous tumor.

They really didn't like using such derogatory terms to talk about their boss... but considering that they've probably caused more destruction in these three exams (one that was still unfinished) than in the entire existence of the System, and that Qin Jiu's actions alone had given the System so many headaches trying to patch up all the loopholes he had used... it wasn't like their chosen words weren't accurate.

He was just performing his duties as an invigilator and ensuring that the examinees returned safely but was forced to take a dip in the water.

Everyone looked quite sorry for poor 154, who was still freezing his tiny butt off, as Shu Xue hastily handed over the spare blankets they had set aside during lunch. Wen Yuan quickly threw it over the both of them.

Hopefully, it should be enough to keep 154 warm until this was all over... even if it wouldn't really solve the root of the issue...
