Chapter 36.1: The Enchanting Encounter

Zoiren hit her hand that made her to disarm the bokken. We thought that it's finally over, but we were surprised when she uses her hand to hand combat. Zenrie-chan kicked Zoiren from behind after she shifted her direction. It created a hard blow on his back, causing him to fall on the ground.

"She's so fast...just like being one with the light and wind," I said as my eyes locked on her.

On the other hand, I manage to attack her again with my bokken, and she kicked my hand, causing my bokken to fly behind the tree.

Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa at tila nagkakaroon ng usapan ang aming mga kaluluwa.

"Focus and determination, these are the things that a strong warrior needs. Other than that, kinailangan ding hindi masyadong magdepende sa bawat armas na gagamitin niyo. You need a backup move to protect yourself," litana niya't tila binigyan pa kami ng isang malumanay na ngiti.

Zoiren and I nodded, and I begin to attack her again. This time, I manage to use my combat skills without my bokken towards her and we exchange our attacks and defenses. I didn't expect how strong she is; even her kicks are so powerful.

Maybe this is the reason why I got a mark on my face with her snickers.

"Giving up already?" Zenrie-chan let out a tease and made me determined to beat her; while I'm catching some breath.

I chuckled and let out a smirk on my face. "Not this time, Zenrie-danchou."

Her brows narrowed as she smirked back. "Well, show me."

Zoiren came back from behind with an illuminating bokken and slashed her, it hit her a bit on her arm and she managed to kick him right on the face.

Grabe. It seems her senses are clearer than water that she can even predict our next move.

Umatake na agad ako't nagkapalitan pa kami ng bawat galaw. Just as she reached on the tree, she quickly grabbed her bokken and hit me on the right leg. She flipped in the air after she passed through me from behind.

Buti na lang at nakuha na rin ang aking bokken nang ibinato ito ni Zoiren na umatake ulit kay Zenrie-chan.

"Zoiren!" He swiftly turned his gaze on me as he's catching his breath. "Is there anything you have in your mind?"

"Sa totoo lang, parang mas maganda kung sabay-sabay tayong aatake at magpalitan ng posisyon para matalo natin si Commander Zenrie sa sparing. Ok ba 'yon?" suhestyon niya habang inayos ang kanyang pagtayo.

"Or maybe..." I formed a smile of determination on my lips as I looked at the fiercest girl in front of us.

Hindi na ako nag-atubili pang sumugod ulit sa kanya. She lifted her right foot to kick, and I successfully dodge it with my right arm. Her brows arced, and it's the time for us to do the next move. She didn't use her bokken this time and just hang it on her waist.

This is it.

"Zoiren, now!" And Zoiren followed my lead. He sprinted near Zenrie and successfully strikes her back with a single swing. Nawalan siya ng balanse nang umayos siya ng tayo, ngunit hindi pa pala ito tapos.

"Nagawa ba natin?" tanong ni Zoiren habang tumayo siya sa kaliwa ni Zenrie sa layong sampung pulgada.

I looked at him and turn my gaze to Zenrie. My eyes widened when she regained her strength, yet she's still not making a move.

This is the chance for us to attack her.

"Ngayon na!"

We pulled our bokkens and illuminated it using our powers and dashed towards Zenrie-chan. As we are running, I noticed her fainted smile that gave me curiosity. Yet, we still attacked her. Suddenly, just as we almost strike our bokkens against her, it created a thick dust and a gust of wind around us. The mist even joined, making us to have a hard time to open our eyes.
