"Shakespeare once said 'It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.'"

- Isabella Pevensie

____________

PURE DARK EVIL.

That was all I felt as we sail closer and closer to the dark island. The lack of wind had slowed the ship, warning us to not venture forward; Eustace and Reepicheep had taken control of the sky once again while the rest of us took control of the Dawn Treader.

"So, what do you think is in there?" Tavros asked hesitantly. The thunder of the island kept getting louder and louder the closer we sail.

"Our worst nightmares." Edmund states.

"Our darkest wishes." Caspian added.

"Pure evil," Drinian affirmed.

Vela glaring ahead, nodded, "Couldn't agree more."

I sigh as I gave them all a look, "Enough. Let's not depress ourselves even further."

"I think that is the purpose of the Dark Island, Bella."

Caspian and Nathaniel chuckled while Lucy gave him a nudge on the side and I gave him an annoyed look.

"Whatever Ed."

The light mood didn't last long before Drinian had turned to look at Tavros and walked to his side, "Tavros, unlock the armory."

"My lord," Tavros walked away, following his orders.

"Archers, prepare yourselves," Drinian announced.

"Aye, Captain."

"Light the lanterns." Tavros commanded as he stepped down and walked towards the crew.

Caspian turned to Edmund, Lucy, and I, "Let's get ready."

____________

It didn't take me long before I finished getting ready. I didn't need as much armor as Caspian, Edmund and Lucy, as before, I could cast a protective spell that would protect me.

As I finish braiding my hair and making my way to Caspian's cabin, I couldn't help but overhear the conversation.

"You gave up your sword." Caspian announced.

"It wasn't mine to keep. "Edmund answered.

I heard Caspian moving around and I made my way through the door to see him handing Rhindon to Edmund, Peter's sword.

Edmund's eyes had widened as he glanced at the sword, and for a second, he wanted to reach for it but didn't as I knew he felt that it belong to Caspian because of Peter and knowing my brother, he felt he didn't deserve such sword.
