Date after date it's like meeting the same guy,
All over again.
"I love to travel, eat and go to the gym,"
Says, Glen, Ben, Chen, Brenden etcetera...
Spiky asks them if they're religious
As she eats her tempura.
2/3rds of them say no.
Even a few of the "Muslims" say no.
The ones who say yes puff out their chest.
Dreams of opening their own mom-and-pop shop
And they talk nonstop.
Spiky sees some of their good qualities, but is left in the dust.
Asking a girl questions is a must.
Spiky tries to talk about herself.
Her conversation is put up on the bookshelf.
At this point
The only way for Spiky to enjoy this date,
Is to put herself in a different mental state.
She laughs at her own jokes,
Enjoys the music played by street folk.
She hums a tune to pass the time,
Just
Happens to have a guy next to her in this rhyme.
The next day she gets a text,
"Where do you want to go next?
Go see some art? Go to the Super Mart?
See this new place that sells pop tarts?"
Spiky rubs her temples confused,
Because during the date he didn't look that amused.
He ignored all of Spiky's social cues.
It won't be until later Spiky will learn,
It was more about their ego,
To be with a girl,
And had time to burn.
Note: Updates every Friday!
