Off they go, on a roadtrip to the unknown.
Spiky, her dad, and her brother's friend Glenture,
Each day was a new adventure.
The roads are long and open.
People stay at home cope'n.
The gang meets family and friends along the way,
Spiky's dad drives all day.
No one could or would
Join their convoy.
A single car with bright stickers.
A light of hope still flickers.
Lost in excitement they are locked out,
A gruff sheriff unlocks their car door.
They stumble upon route 66,
A road they've never been on before.
Old car museums left and right,
An abandoned water park
Catches Spiky's sight.
They tour a tiny home factory
The workers are humble and kind,
Spiky with her camera records their every line.
The homes are very satisfactory.
They say goodbye to everyone
At the tiny home factory.
Native American shops
With their handmade work,
Spiky's dad is on the phone with Kirk.
Kirk tells him of a local station
That wants to interview them on their mission.
From past failed promises
Spiky does not care for this addition.
Spiky and her dad interview people
On their thoughts on tiny homes.
Glenture with his camera roams.
Spiky does her best to post on social media.
To keep everyone in the loop
And "to follow and to boop
The "Back this Project" button."
So far they have two backers.
They stop at 50's diners going back in time.
Everyone they meet says their health is fine.
Everything is fine, but the place they are at to dine.
The workers say, "Business is a struggle."
These poor poor muggles.
The gang sleeps in hotels, motels and in the car,
Which has no beds.
Some meals, they are not fed.
So much to do in so little time.
With so much adventure they were fine.
Spiky and the gang reach Las Vegas.
It's like a giant amusement park
That lights up in the dark!
The streets are empty and they take their time.
From block to block there are bright signs.
On one street
They walk past alcohol shops, tattoo parlors,
shooting ranges and wedding chapels.
Spiky says, "This is a block of bad decisions!"
With alcohol any of these choices
Would make someone smitten.
Glenture and her dad laughs
When they did the math.
In the morning they finally get a hold of Kirk.
The interviews have been called off.
There goes their perk.
They expected Spiky's dad to have the tiny home.
Spiky, who had a feeling about these people, still groans.
Her dad never said they were bringing it.
From all they've experienced before,
There's no point in going into a fit.
Besides that,
They have 5 people who backed their project.
If Spiky and her dad are going to buy land,
They need their Kickstarter to be a success.
Unless they don't do something now.
Spiky's dad has a crazy idea.
"I'm bungee jumping from the 108th floor.
For one dollar."
"What?!" Spiky and Glenture holler.
