Spiky spends the rest of the winter months editing.
Editing, editing, editing.
The short videos of the homeless,
Footage from the road trip,
Inside her cold room there is loneliness.
Her friends invite her to meet up at bars,
To talk about nothing while she drinks nothing.
She rather look up at NY's lack of stars.
The January night sky has more depth.
She edits on her computer with blankets
Wrapped up tight.
These Youtube videos are her only source of light.
Twice a week she clicks on "post."
With these videos she'll look less like a joke,
A newbie, a novice, a nubcake!
This might help her with some kind of big break.
She posts and posts on social media.
There are very few views, likes and comments.
Checking the numbers again she says, "Darn it!"
All this work and very little reward.
This is why she's still poor.
