Trapped at home,
The books on Spiky's bookshelf glow.
The dystopias disguised as utopias.
It's all unnecessary chaos.
And people shrug it off.
84 wants to come through the door.
Wizards yell he's not back, The Dark Lord.
Katness Everdeen has lost her courage.
Her sister Prim is discouraged.
They're burning books at a Fahrenheit
Of 451 degrees.
Can you make it stop?
Please...
Dobby tells Harry,
"History is to repeat itself."
Harry has no idea what that means
Or what to do.
He's lost in the confusion x2.
He asks,"What happened to character?"
"Why are we fixated on who's who?
And not You Know Who?
Everyone is drawing lines in the sand.
A pureblood, mudblood, house elf, centaur or giant.
Everyone is being compliant."
And all the blame is on innocent Serious Black.
They're never going to look back.
Stranded school boys run on the island,
They turn uncivilized.
Why is that glorified?
Night or day,
Parents like Elie's are hard to find.
"Parents before kids," said Miss Libs.
Thomas runs through a maze that he created.
Was it worth it for the greater good?
Were any of these stories understood?
"May the odds ever be in your favor,"
On posters, TV screens and in everyone's face.
No one can escape.
Side characters whisper,
"As long as it's not me,
I will be free."
A soft song is sung on screen,
"You would not believe your eyes
How a voice could hypnotize
Promises are only lies
From Loreley."
The madness cheers
Up to the sky.
Spiky wants to ask Steve Jobs,
"Where is the lady with the hammer?"
She's probably off getting pampered.
And then somewhere else
Charlie Chaplin's speech is muted.
Back to silence
and then booted.
With all these stories,
All these books,
These characters,
And worlds that shook.
They remind Spiky Dot
No matter how hard it got,
The bad guys always got caught.
