Spiky's phone rings.
She had to put down her things.
She and her dad exchange a nod.
Let's see what this is about.
"Hello, Grandpa!" She shouts.
"One second, I'll go somewhere quiet."
Spiky steps outside the noisy warehouse.
A stray cat scurries away like a mouse.
Spiky kicks some snow on the ground.
For a moment on the phone there is no sound.
He speaks for a few minutes.
He wants to finance her film,
But with some limits.
Before he can, he asks for what they call,
A production package.
Something Spiky has little experience with,
But she knows she can manage.
Spiky tries not to cry.
She says, "I can do it,"
and they both say goodbye.
This the first time someone is trusting her
With something this big.
She promises her Grandpa she is trustworthy.
She's going to do everything she can,
There will be no worries.
