Everything that was happening was which surrounded his mate and was making him aggravated. Someone wanted his mate dead because of... The reason he knew not.

A ghost came to warn him about someone hurting his mate.
The nightmare.

The first letter.
He banged his fist in frustration because everything was confusing before tugging his hair. He had sent his beta to bring his mate here. He needed to act fast, and he miscalculated everything that was happening. How would he have a state of mind when he had caused some people to be restless also?

"My boy," a tall man with a well-built frame entered; he looked in his late forties with a charming smile. The King smiled in return and hugged me. The King only had contact with a few people, and among the few was this man, Sire Alec in Knight - a true-blooded vampire.

"As I received your message, I left your grandpa instantly, and he has been grumpy since then." the man chuckled as he sat on the chair the King motioned to him. The King was happy to see him after the clash of demons and vampires, which was a century ago. The man was a father figure to him and his teacher, who taught him everything he knew. This man stood by him and made him stronger by turning him when everyone left him and bullied him because he was a human. Even though, after he was bitten, his father was afraid of him and always locked him in because he was too powerful, this man and his mother never made him feel neglected, but the hatred of his father grew stronger until he couldn't put up to it and killed him.

He killed his father with his bare hands after a rogue killed his mother.
"Oh, my boy. Congratulations on meeting your mate." The man smiled before his eyes twinkled with amusement, "and how is our Queen?" The man wiggled his eyebrow playfully while the King smiled, not because of what the man asked but because he was thinking about his mate blushing whenever she was embarrassed. As he thought about her, he felt his heart tug as Ryn whined softly.

"I miss mate," he pouted, showing himself to Sire Knight. Sire Knight smiled fatherly at Ryn, which made him release a purring sound. This man was always there whenever they needed him; he stood by them when his grandpa chose not to meddle with the realm's affairs. The Lucifer, indeed!

"She's sleeping," he responded before mind-linking his beta. "is she awake?"

"Yes, she is asking of you? And between, stop thinking about her! She's feeling the pain," the beta said before cutting the link off.

"So, Your message sounds urgent; I hope nothing is going on?" Alec asked with his brows furrowed in confusion.

The King sighed, rubbing his face; he was angry at all happening. He just wanted to spend time with his name to know more about her. Her likes and dislikes, her favourite blah blah, but these were taking his time.

"Since I've found my mate, everything has been in a state of confusion," he disclosed his worst fear. The fear of him not being able to protect his mate. He trusted this man and always confined him in him. Some people had wanted to kill him for all these years, and it was impossible, but now with his mate, a delicate human mate, just a twig of her neck, she was gone.

"Someone has been threatening your mate?" Alec was shocked; who dared to threaten the King's mate?

"Yes," he hesitated a little.

"Why do you think so?" the man caressed his long full beard softly. "Or how do you meet her?" he asked.

"The guards said they saw her unconscious body at the border, " he replied, not knowing why Alec was asking. Well, he was one of the decedents of King Solomon; the wise.

"Was it Fate?"

"It was Fate that brought her to me," the King responded confidently.

"Are you sure it was Fate or someone playing with Time and tampering with Destiny?" Alec stated casually.

"What?" the King growled in anger which made the thunder strike abruptly.

"Son, calm down!" Alec stood and patted his back, "We won't want your mate wondering why the thunder strikes when there is a sun," Alec tried to reason with him.

"Have you asked Fate about it, or has he congratulated you?"

The King paused a little, trying to remember his interactions with the three siblings, Fate, Time and Destiny, then noticed it was after he left abruptly when his mate was in danger, and he'd never contact them except when he told his beta to bring them. "No, he has not," the King responded.

"Then why was that?"

"Maybe he has forgotten." The King shrugged his shoulder.

"How can...?" the wise man was interrupted by the sound of the door. The man shook his head before smiling softly at the presence of triple trouble—the three siblings.

"King," they sang in their high pitches before dancing around the office. "We, the three siblings, received your message, and here we are at your command," They said in unison and bowed to the King. The King grunted in response to dismiss them. They talked sequence after one another.

"Time, Fate and Destiny are at your service," Time said, sticking his tongue out to his siblings while Fate tackled Time on the floor, sitting on his stomach, "I was the one who was supposed to say that," Fate said before given his sister; Destiny a mischievous look which made them grin.

"No, don't!" Time screamed and shook his head in a pleading way.

"Hello, brother," Destiny called playfully, then released a powdered substance on Time's nose, which made him gasp as he sneezed out his purplish mucous and pouted at his siblings. Destiny and Fate high-fived each other before helping their brother up and dusting his unstained cloak dramatically. They turned to the King and bowed, "Sorry for the inconvenience," they said in unison; their voice sounded robotic.

The King wanted to stop them earlier, but Alec held him back, watching them amusingly. Those triplets were something else. He glanced at Time mucous on the ground, which had turned into a beautiful red rose. He plucked it and kept it in its pocket for future use.

"Are you done?" the King's mouth twitched as if he was fighting a smile off his face.

They looked flustered as they lowered their head in embarrassment; they had forgotten where they had been earlier.

"Sit down," Alec offered them a seat across from him.

"Fate, are you aware the King has found his mate?" he asked, raising his brow.

"What?" the triplet yelled out in surprise, looking at one another before laughing out loud, clutching their stomach in laughter.

"It was impossible for him to find his mate because, one, it's never written in his destiny," Destiny smiled widely, "Two, even though if destiny was tampered with, it is not yet time," Time added, playing with his hem, "and third, if he ever found his mate, I would have known because I'm the one who brings souls together and I would have to congratulate him." Fate concluded.
