"Baby I'm home!" I yell as I enter mine and Hailees apartment. Hailee appears from around the corner and wraps her arms around me.

"I missed you" she mumbles giving me a quick kiss

"I missed you too" I notice that she looks a little bit off. She's not smiling and that kiss. I don't know it was just so weird. "Hey what's wrong?" I ask as I follow her in the living room

"We need to talk" she shortly says

"Okay... is everything okay?" I question worryingly

"Y/n..." Hailee starts as her glance flies to the floor. "We should break up" she added as her glance examined my face for any reaction.

Well one thing is for sure I wasn't expecting that. I feel my heart break in million pieces. Her face on the other hand has no emotion. Absolutely fucking nothing.

"Oh, wh-why?" I stutter as tears well up in my eyes.

"It's just.. I think we're drifting apart and it's better for both of us." Hailee explains as she runs her hand through her hair

"That's not true Hailee" I start my tone increasing in volume

"Y/n I know it's hard to admit but-"

"Hailee there is nothing to admit! Our relationship has never been stronger! And you want to end it?! What the fuck?" I yell throwing my hands in the air

"Y/n just please let me go... it's better for both of us" Hailee calmly says as her eyes find mine

"Let you go?! I can't fucking let you go Hailee!" I shouted as a tear slips down my cheek

"Why?" Hailee shortly asks

"Because I love you Hailee!" I yell as I realise what I just said. I love you. The three words neither one of us has ever said before. Hailees eyes widen at my statement. Her gaze falls from me but then finds it's way back to my eyes.

"You love me?" Hailee whispered

"Yes, yes I do." I answered as I ran my hands through my hair

"I'm sorry Y/n but I don't feel the same.... way" Hailee confessed her eyes still fixated on the wooden floor.

"Look me in the eyes and tell me that...... please" I pleaded. Hailees eyes stay on the floor as she fidgets with her fingers.

"I can't" she whispers

"Hailee listen.... I can't have you breaking up with me because you're scared of what you feel. I know love is a scary thing but.... I don't want us to break up. I love you Hailee Steinfeld" I took her hands in mine and her hazel eyes were now on my y/e/c ones

"Y/n... I need time... I'm sorry." Hailee said as she walked past me leaving our apartment

"Fuck!" I yell out

(Time skip bcs I'm tired)

It's been three months since Hailee and I broke up. She hasn't been responding to my calls and messages. She basically doesn't want to hear from me.

I'm currently in my living room binge watching Criminal Minds. What it's a good show?! I hear a knock on the door.  I grab the remote and pause the show as I make my way to the door.

"Hailee?" My heart drops as I open the door fully to reveal Hailee standing there.

"Y/n? Hi can we talk? Please." Hailee pleads as she makes eye contact

Why does she have such beautiful eyes?

"Sure" I stand aside as she walks past me in the apartment. I close the door and turn to Hailee. "So...."

"Listen Y/n I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have left like that... I've been terrible towards you and I'm so so sorry" Hailee apologises as her hand nervously runs through her brown locks

"Hailee, you don't have to apologise. I get it I shouldn't have said it... I'm sorry" I say with a smile on my face

"Y/n I love you" Hailee quickly says as she steps closer to me

"Y-you do?" I stutter

She loves me?

"Yeah I do and I know it only took you three words to tell me how you felt but I'm sorry it took me three months to say it back." Hailee placed her hand on my cheek as she spoke. I instantly melted at her touch. Her face was inches apart from mine. "Can i kiss you?"Hailee whispered as her lips hovered over mine

"Yes" I responded as Hailee brought our lips together. I placed my hands at the back of her neck pulling her as close as possible. Her firm hands were on my waist pulling me closer.

"I love you" I whispered against her lips

"I love you too" Hailee whispered as we pulled away smiling at each other.
