Where I Stand

It's been a while since I looked at an overview of my capabilities...

As it currently stands, I'm level 51. As the level-ups happened more and more, it became less important to specifically highlight each level. What's so special about reaching level 48 than 47 or 46?

The stat increases I get as a result of my level-ups are actually barely even contributing to a lot of my stat totals. Most of my stats have gone well above 90, which is quite impressive compared to my starting stats of 10. The daily quest, as well as other small quest rewards I got from random loot boxes resulted in major stat boosts over time.

I hadn't gone in depth about much of this before, but things like Titles I also obtain, usually after a lot of experience with some specific type of foe. Insect-like creatures or Grimm have gotten easier and easier to fight as a result of the insect-filled dungeons I cleared. I can only have one title equipped at a time, but it's extremely quick and simple to swap titles, so they're basically free buffs. The only other Title I've really got is a an anti-beast title, making beast-like creatures weaker.

Something odd about my stats, though, is the MP stat...

Looking at what it stands for "Mana Points" I'm a bit more... Confused.

Is Mana different from Aura? I guess so, since if my health goes down far enough, my aura shatters and I become significantly weaker...

But I guess Mana has nothing to do with that. A sort of magical power reserve, then? This power really isn't anything like a semblance, after all.

I'm assuming Health is a stat that indicates how high my HP can be. Had I known I'd be so Mana-Dependant, I'd have invested a LOT more points into Intelligence... Speaking of, I always keep some spare points in case I need to increase a stat in an instant.

My Sense stat has proven way more useful than I expected. I can almost tell instantly who is stronger than whom, and any hostility directed at me isn't super difficult to detect.

The physical damage Reduction is due to all of the armor I wear.

The Unknown Skill is... Confusing, but I can't really do anything about it, so... Dagger Throw and Dominator's Touch have been useful and quite fun to use, honestly; and Dagger Techniques just makes my moves more professional, feel more natural, and do a hair more damage, which is always nice.

Two of my favorite skills are absolutely Speed and Critical Strike. Being able to increase in speed by 30% is always convenient and fun to show off, and Critical Strike is almost always worth the mana cost.

Now, I do wish my class skills were higher leveled... I can only imagine how many shadows I'll be able to store and extract as they raise in level.

All in all... I realistically shouldn't lose a one-on-one. If I was going all-out, even Pyrrha probably couldn't touch me. I think the reason I didn't go all out was purely because I don't want to accidentally hurt anyone... But being honest, it's also that I can get careless at times. I don't always take fights as serious as I should, so... Next time I'm in a serious fight, I have no intent to hold back.

I'll make this demon castle my bitch.

...

Standing in front of Beacon Tower, I take a Red Key out of my inventory.

"Open."

A mystical red portal appears.

"Good luck, (Y/N)..."

Ruby, standing outside the stadium before her first finals match, offers wishes of good luck.

I step through...

===============================

Wassup, everyone! In this Author's Note, I'm gonna get brutally honest about a retcon I made, and attempt to explain my plans for the future (not spoilers, per se, just an attempt at helping you understand my thought process regarding this story and the type of crossover story it is).

First and foremost...

Although I phrased it as though (Y/N) had always thought Aura was what MP was supposed to be connected to, in the end I actually just decided MP should stay separate.

Our hero does still have aura, but that's not the same as Mana. Some readers brought up a great point, and although I disagreed with them at the time (you can even reread our comments if you go back...) Their point that magic does/did exist in RWBY's world sat with me. So yeah, I don't think it's unair to say MP and Aura are different entities, and I hope you don't mind pretending that (Y/N) only now realizes they're separate entities.

As for my plans...

I wasn't so sure how to justify The System's existence in RWBY's world (considering the setting is Remnant, not Earth like Solo Leveling) but as I reread Solo Leveling, I'm coming up with ways to incorporate it all. Originally I was gonna have the system be from the Gods of Creation and Destruction, but I actually think I want the system to be from the characters it's ORIGINALLY from (I won't say the names out of fear of spoilers for anyone that hasn't read SL).

Those characters' existence can be justified USING RWBY's Gods as their creators. At least, I feel they can be justified. RWBY'S gods treated Remnant like an experiment, so I don't think it's farfetched to say they have other "experiments."

If you understand what I'm talking about, hopefully you agree that this can work. I'll workshop this along the way, none of this is set in stone, and this story is always evolving as I spend time thinking about it and re-experience its two sources.

Regardless, I hope what has been written is enjoyable, and even though this chapter honestly didn't add anything to the story, trust me when I say next chapter is gonna be... Experimental 😏 (the smirk isn't supposed to be lewd, stfu. I'm just evil and like dark stories).
