I love her
from the moment
she stepped into
my darkest territory,
from the time she
slid her way into
my world devoid of life,
from the startling hour
she saved my soul from
falling and drowning,
from the uncertain second
she embraced my nudity
when I thought I was useless,
and from the very small
space of time when she
made my heart beat again.
But beyond all these,
I love her for an
unfathomable reason,
like an indefinite season.
