"ALRIGHT, time for me to get going."

I hurried and got my phone since someone can call me or what not. I've been doing this constantly for the past several nights for taking some strolls in the breezy nights.

I left my dorm along with my phone.

I see Ayanokouji also leaving for the elevator, so I decided to catch up to him.

"Yo, Ayanokouji!"

He turned around and he sighed.

"Oh, it's you."

"Don't say like it's a disappointment that I'm here."

"Sorry, I'm just tired right now. Couldn't sleep so I'm grabbing some juice, you?"

"Same thing, I'll go get some lemonade."

"You really like lemonade huh?"

"It's my favorite drink after all. Though I'm just going to take a walk honestly."

We went inside the elevator. It was kind of awkward since we weren't talking. It was just pure silence.

"Awkward much?" I said.

"Yep."

"Tired?" I asked.

"Yep."

'Same...'

We both exited the elevator and went towards the vending machine. He got some juice while I picked lemonade. I drank the lemonade quickly as I felt it tickle down with the refreshing breeze outside.

"Ah! Refreshing." I muttered I said as we went back inside the lobby.

"Hey, Shinjiro. Look at the CCTV footage real quick."

"Hm?"

"It's Horikita..."

I take a look at the CCTV and indeed saw Horikita in the elevator with her school uniform.

Oh, it's time for that. But this seems somewhat early, I suppose Ayanokouji decided to get a drink earlier? Oh well, I haven't really planned anything in regard to this event but...

"Well, I don't really need to hide, but... I might..." Ayanokouji started but I cut him off.

"If you want to find out, you do you."

"Alright then... I'll suppose I'll hide." Before I left, I told him a vital piece of information.

"...You'll either be a master of intuition or you're paranoid. Either way since you're so insistent, I'll do the similar thing you did back on the staircase with Kushida."

I waved at him and quickly went inside the building and ascended upwards via the stairs.  I went inside my dorm as the whole ordeal was surprisingly the same area of me and Ayanokouji's building. From there on, I began recording from the balcony, with my flash and sounds all turned off.

Horikita Manabu's Point of View

Although I didn't have her contact information, the letter that I ordered Tachibana to slip under Horikita's room done the job efficiently.

The letter included the request upon her own contact information. I didn't put my phone number in as well, however I did put some statement that only she and I knew. For some time now, we'd had each other's contact information.

Today I've texted her to meet up in this exact location at this exact time. Once the meeting was near, I exited the third-year building and off to the first-year lobby. I waited outside and was continuously staring the CCTV camera. She wouldn't be late to this meeting. However, once it stopped at the 4th floor, I immediately knew it wasn't Suzune, but I continued to stare at the CCTV footage. There I was 2 first-year boys walking inside the elevator. Both of them I recognized.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka and Shinjiro Akabane.

I instantly recognized them due to their physical appearance as well with my memory.

Both of them appeared average students, however from their academic performance in the entrance exams, they were far from it. Ayanokouji scored 50 across all subjects including the recent mock test. Shinjiro had done a discreet way of maintaining a 50 overall as well.

If they truly wanted too, they could've become the most top academic performing students in all of Advanced Nurturing High School... that alone isn't enough. Not only were they needed to adapt to the frantic unknown but to have quick and effective decision making.

"I suppose I can do a bit more to gauge their abilities."

I went on deep into the alley way and stayed there. I also moved closer towards the wall for the field of view. I heard the buttons as well as the cans being tossed inside the vending machine and picked up.

"Ah! Refreshing."

"Hey, Shinjiro. Look at the CCTV footage real quick."

"Hm?"

"It's Horikita."

So, she's here. In order to test their abilities, I quickly came up with a scheme I could use.

"Well, I don't really need to hide, but... I might..." I heard Ayanokouji but he got cut off.

"If you want to find out, you do you but I've leaving." It sounds like Shinjiro is the one who's not participating.

"Alright then... I'll suppose I'll hide."

For some moments, I heard nothing but some whispers. After several seconds, I heard a voice.

"...You'll either be a master of intuition or you're paranoid. Either way since you're so insistent, I'll do the similar thing you did back on the staircase with Kushida."

'Similar thing back on the staircase with...Kushida?' Kushida was an interesting student that I've recalled from my previous school. Of course, she was a great student all-round, but as for her situation in the past, well was the reason she was placed in Class D.

I heard footsteps, which were Shinjiro's, running away. Although there was a possibility of Ayanokouji waiting to see Horikita, seeing the type of individual he is from his evaluation as well logical standpoints, it was unlikely. I've heard that Horikita's study group didn't go well so it wasn't in his best favor to annoy Suzune. In retrospect, Ayanokouji seems like a curious individual. I'm sure anyone who even had a surface level of Suzune's personality as well with common sense would hide and see what Suzune was up to than potentially ruining something they could've learned.

All I have to do now is act 'horrible' to Suzune, and with Ayanokouji likely eavesdropping, I'll be able to learn more of this, 'Ayanokouji Kiyotaka'.
