"HA, ha ha ha! God, you're so dumb. You're hilarious, man!"

Ike chatted loudly with Yamauchi during second-period math. It'd been three weeks since the entrance ceremony. In that time, Ike and Yamauchi, along with Sudou, had collectively come to be known as "The Idiot Trio." If fits them a lot if I have to give my opinion of the name.

"Ne~, Ne~ do you want to go do karaoke?"

"Yeah, let's go!"

A group of girls nearby were making plans for after class.

'I wonder why she thinks I'm interesting...'

I don't recall having any special talents and even if I somehow do, I didn't show them to anyone. And she wants to have a match in chess? I'm literally a beginner in chess, I'll get destroyed in her match. That's her first favor.

But, what's the other favor?

I don't actually care if she accepts my apology or not. Playing chess with her seems fun but I have to be careful of not bugging her off. Yamauchi did the same thing and he got expelled.

I absolutely cannot get expelled.

"I was really worried for a while, but it looks like everyone's opened up to each other quickly." Ayanokouji remarks

"Ayanokouji-kun, haven't you made quite a few friends?" asked Horikita, copying what was written on the blackboard into her notebook.

"Somewhat, I suppose." He replied

I also made a couple of few friends these past 3 weeks. That being Ayanokouji, Sudou, Ike, Yamauchi... and myself. I guess I can count Sakayanagi, but I doubt she views me as her friend. Probably as acquaintances.

"Sup?" Halfway through class, Sudou crashed through the door and barged into the classroom. He slumped in his seat with a yawn, clearly not caring how late he was. I wonder how he has that kind of courage to do so. Back then, I avoided not being late to class because I didn't want to draw attention to me.

"Oh, hey, Sudou. Wanna get lunch later?" Ike called out to Sudou from across the room.

As usual, the teachers did not care a single dime of what the students were doing. I already know that they're testing us, which is why I didn't want to be part of them. Instead, I pay attention to the lessons, especially Japanese History. I mean, know I Japanese history. I just consider it more enjoyable; math is also enjoyable if it's not too hard.

The Japanese Civil War, Japan's involvement in taking German Pacific islands in World War 1, obviously "The War", Reconstruction of Japan, the Tsunami of 2011, the Kamakura Period, the rise of Buddhism, the Meiji Period, the list could go on.

"Hey, Horikita. Do you want to have lunch with me?" Ayanokouji asked.

Is this Ayanokouji's way of getting revenge on me since I didn't go to lunch with him a couple times in a row?

"I will have to decline. Your group is rather unrefined, anyway."

"I can't deny that." Ayanokouji agrees

"Whoa. Seriously, he has a girlfriend? Awesome."

Based on Ike's conversation, it sounded like Hirata was dating Karuizawa. It was due to happen anyway regarding Hirata's and Karuizawa's past.

"I hate that look on your face." Horikita retorts

"Were you talking to me?" I asked

"Not at all. I was talking to Ayanokouji-kun. Though I wouldnt hate your look, just your face."

"That's... not better?"

"Is that so?" There's not winning against her. For some reason, I sense that Ayanokouji was strangely thinking about Horikita.

"I think he's having rude thoughts about you."

"I see." Horikita brings out her compass from her suit-pocket.

Where-no, why does she always keep a compass?
