"i-i like you," you stuttered but handed the envelope to seungcheol, who accepted it despite the awkwardness between you two.

"oh, um..."

"woah, is that l/n y/n?"

"yo shortie, what's going on here?" you felt someone put their arm around your shoulders and looked to see seungcheol's friends around you and seungcheol. "is that a letter?" jeonghan questioned while mingyu pulled the envelope out of seungcheol's hands.

"love letter?" mingyu questioned and proceeded to rip the seal of the envelope.

"please don't!" you tried to reach mingyu, but he raised his hands in the air, still holding the partially open envelope.

"guys, chill," seungcheol said in annoyance.

you heard jeonghan chuckle from behind you. "why so scared?" he asked you.

"she probably put her heart into that letter," dokyeom laughed as he leaned against the lockers behind him.

"seungcheol, ever since—"

"stop it!" you demanded, trying to reach up even though you weren't even close to mingyu's hands.

"come on, let's go read this to the others," mingyu suggested and started walking away. dokyeom pushed himself away from the lockers while jeonghan pushed seungcheol to walk away.

could this get any worst?

after the fiasco of a week, it was finally saturday. you were at work, hoping to forget everything that had happened.

you heard the bell ring as the door opened, a cold breeze funneling into the room. "welcome in," you spoke while cleaning one of the machines in front of you.

once you were done, you looked at the register and saw seungcheol standing at the counter.

"uh, hey, y/n," he awkwardly greeted.

"do you need something?" you asked.

"can i talk to you for a second, outside?" he requested.

you looked at your coworker, jun, who nodded his head and gestured you. he knew about everything that happened and only hoped for the best for you.

you walked around the counter, and you and seungcheol exited the store. you followed him down the street to the park, and both of you sat down on a bench.

"sorry about what happened wednesday," he immediately apologized when you two sat down.

"oh...it's okay, i guess..." you replied, unsure of how to respond to his apology.

"my friends read most of it, but i managed to get it back from them. they're so annoying sometimes," he sighed at the thought. "anyways, i just wanted to say—"

"you can throw the letter away," you interrupted him, "it's...it's fine." you looked down at your hands, which were clasped together in your lap.

"gonna let me finish?" seungcheol asked.

you looked over at him, "hm?"

seungcheol gently grabbed your hand, making you unclasp them. he held your hand, and you noticed him grinning.

"i like you, y/n," he admitted, "i like you a lot."

and what seemed like from a scene of a slow was reality. you were blushing like crazy and almost moved your hand away, but seungcheol wouldn't let go of you.

"you're really adorable," he started laughing. "when does your shift end?" he asked.

"um...in an hour," you mumbled out.

"an hour?" he asked and you nodded. "great, let's get lunch," he smiled. "does that work for you?" he asked.

you nodded again.

"you're really cute," he added onto the list of compliments.

"can you please stop?" you asked as he stood up.

"nah."

"this is really how it's gonna be, isn't it?"

"duh." then, you noticed him lean over and kiss your forehead.
