Animal blessings next Tuesday,
Said the digital board
Outside St. Francis Church.
That piqued my curiosity.
How could it possibly be?
Churches are for you and me!
I went in to inquire, curiously,
And was explained to me, thusly:
We had a financial catastrophe.
Between you and me,
Said the priest cunningly,
A decision based on necessity.
Covid has been bad for business.
Please help the church and me,
Said Father Micky, expectantly.
