Poetry Collection // Upon the Stars We See is a deeply personal and politically charged chapbook that weaves together haiku, prose poems, and spoken word to explore the intersections of Indigenous identity, environmental grief, and the quiet violence of modern existence. Through minimalism and lyrical force, it constructs a celestial mirror-reflecting not only the realities of colonization and capitalism, but also the resilience, memory, and inherited strength of those who live through them.

"Is there something wrong December?" Mr. C asked. Get a grip. Why am so nervous just sitting on air? I shook my head. Then proceeded beside Summer and sat on air. Yes. Air. Because no chair popped up. This is so embarrassing. At least Storm got a chair. I got nothing. "Oops, seems like the scanner system malfunctioned. Malfunctioned? What is this. Am I not a person to be not scanned? "Let me fix that." A voice out of nowhere appeared. I looked around. I searched for him, but couldn't find him anywhere. Where is he? Then the screen displayed him. So he was on the other side of the screen. Suddenly, all of the students knelt before him. I looked around confused. They were starting to say something but Breeze cut them off. "That's enough, no need for formalities. Please seat." Then they sat. What is this about? I stood up and tried to sit but failed again. "So, I thought you were going to fix this." I looked at the screen. "Yeah, sorry, I'll fix it immediately." He replied quickly turning his attentions on the buttons in front of him. "Thank you very much." I said in return. December Gray is living in a time where the Earth is treacherous, toxic, miserable. It is believed that in a few more years, it will self-destruct. December believed so too. Until they were given the mission. The mission that might just be able to change the future that was already predicted. Not only she has to worry about succeeding the future-changing mission, she also has to suppress her growing affection for a boy who seemed to captivate her more than she thinks.

From England's Lake District, the World Governing Body rules unchallenged. Due to Earth's dwindling resources, an official relocation policy transfers many people to the desert planet Gnaritus. In truth, Earth's elite use Gnaritus as a dumping ground for anyone they deem inconvenient or unwanted. With cancer rates skyrocketing from the effects of climate change, Earth is desperate for a cure, and respected scientist Dr. Rod Stinguard promises an anti-cancer viral vector treatment to great acclaim. Stinguard's colleague, Dr. Surina Mathew, discovers the medication causes lethal mutations in half of all people receiving it. However, Stinguard orchestrates Surina's relocation to Gnaritus before she can warn more than a handful of people. On Gnaritus, Surina discovers Earth's outcasts have built a society free of humanity's past mistakes. She also learns answers to many of the dilemmas on Earth, such as: Who belongs? Who matters? Although Gnaritus's vision of cosmic harmony intrigues her, she cannot forget the deadly treatment Stinguard is about to unleash on Earth. She hopes to warn Earth about the viral vector's lethal payload, but with an interplanetary firewall blocking communication, she's not sure she'll get the chance.
