"It's perfect, Michael. I mean, it's a huge house for just the two of us, but I love everything about it."
"I thought you would." He said, grinning from ear to ear. "Oh, and the lake is just five minutes away from here."
"No way? That's even better. This is everything I would look for. You know me too well, Michael."
"I do. And now I can show you what really made me fall in love with the house, and I know you will feel the same way. It's the part I've been most excited to show you." He holds his hand out to me and I smile as we interlock our fingers.
He leads me to the back door and we walk out on to the porch.
"Wow." I whisper.
I gaze in wonderment at the stunning scenery in front of me. There are so many flowers and plenty of different shrubs and trees around to give us that extra bit of privacy.
Michael stands still and watches me silently. I take a slow walk and admire everything that's around me, taking in the beautiful garden. The delightful smells of nature and floral scents waft through the summer air, and the sound of birds, buzzing bees and the tinkling of wind chimes fill my ears. I've never seen such a beautiful garden in my life. It's taken my breath away. There's nothing more I love than surrounding myself with the beauty of nature, and to think this is ours is something I can't wrap my head around just yet.
I spot another surprise when I see there's a little pond with a fountain and walk straight over to it. I smile and reach my hand out, dipping my fingers into the water. I feel Michael stand next to me and gently place his hand on my lower back.
"I was going to ask if you like it, but your silence and that smile on your face says it all."
My smile only grows wider and I look up at him with tears of joy in my eyes.
"I don't like it, I love it. This whole place is like something from a fairytale. It's magical."
He smiles and runs both hands through my hair before planting a sweet kiss on my forehead.
"I've got one more thing to show you."
"Michael, I don't think I can handle another surprise." I giggle.
"But, you have to see the last part of the house. I promise it's the last surprise."
I bite my lip and nod in anticipation. He takes hold of my hand and we walk across the garden. I can't believe how much open space there is, and I can't stop looking around at the pretty flowers.
We walk towards something that looks like a little summer house at the bottom of the garden. We stop walking and Michael looks down at me with the biggest smile on his face. He looks so happy and excited, and seeing that cute smile is infectious.
"This is all yours."
I lower my eyebrows, unsure of what he means.
"What do you mean?"
"It's your studio. I told you I would get you one one day, and here it is."
My eyes fill with tears and my bottom lip trembles. I'm so touched and lost for words, all I can manage to do is cry and wrap my arms around him tightly.
"Are you serious?" I sob, going in to a full ugly face cry.
"Yes, of course I am." He laughs softly and cups my cheeks in his hands. "Don't cry, baby."
"I can't help it. What you've done is just so incredibly sweet and thoughtful, and... I-I just can't believe you've done this." I shake my head. I'm such a blubbering mess, I doubt Michael could even understand what I just blurted out.
