Sweet juice from the strawberry covers my tongue, and once I'm done eating it, I reach in to the bowl and pick up another one, sucking on it slowly. Feeling Michael's eyes on me makes me smile to myself. He hasn't been able to take his eyes off me since we left the lake... I glance at him and raise my eyebrow, smirking like a school girl with a crush. He shows a sexy smile and picks up a strawberry, not taking his eyes away once.

"Do you know what I used to call you when I was in hospital?"

"You had a name for me?" Michael gives me a look, tilting his head to one side and laughs.

"I had many names for you." I giggle.

"Mmm, I can imagine. You thought I was annoying."

"Only for a little while." I smile and roll my eyes. "But then I thought you were kind of cute and I didn't mind how annoying you were."

"Thanks." He laughs softly and bites his lip.

I take another strawberry and feel his eyes burning through me again. I bite in to it and look over at him, giving him a look.

"Mr. Eyes Like A Hawk."

"Oh, wow." He raises his eyebrows, laughing.

"But that's what you did. You watched everyone all the time." I giggle.

"You didn't like me watching you?" He smirks.

I blush instantly and bite my lip.

"Not at first, but, secretly maybe I did, just a little bit." I grin and show a hand gesture with my thumb and finger.

"Oh, yeah, a little bit? Are you sure?" He grins. "I remember when you first arrived at the hospital and you caught me looking at you. You said something like, stop looking at me, It's fucking weird."

I put my hands to my face and laugh.

"Oh, yeah, sorry... I did. I was like, why the fuck are you staring at me?"

"Yeah." He laughs, raising his eyebrows.

"I mean, I didn't like it much at first, but then I didn't mind it."

"That's understandable, but I just couldn't help it. I've always been drawn to you."

He's always saying such sweet things to me, and he's the only person who's ever been able to make me blush like this.

"You know, Hawks are a bird of prey." He smirks.

"Mhmm..." I nod, smiling like an idiot. "And you eventually caught your prey."

His cheeks begin to turn red and he shows a cute smile, taking his eyes away from me for a breif moment.

"I've always hated any kind of attention and I get really paranoid sometimes with my anxiety, but, with you, it's different... I like it when you stare." I say softly and look down at my hands. "You make me feel nervous, but a good kind of nervous... and you make me feel special, like I'm important and I actually matter... like I exist."

He gazes at me intently and frowns.

"That's because you are special, and you are important. You matter, Maya."

I show a little smile and run my hand through my hair.

"I've always loved your eyes too. They're the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen."

He laughs and looks away shyly.

"Seriously, I've never seen eyes like yours." I smile from seeing him become embarrassed. "They're big, brown and sweet... angelic, like Bambi eyes. They're expressive and hypnotising."
