Chapter 48

"Skyler, were you really scared to tell me? We've handled long distance before we can do it again." I takes my hands in his. "See that necklace your wearing? It's a promise that I'll love you no matter what. No amount of distance is going to change that." I throw myself into his arms and pull him into a kiss.

"How did I get so lucky?" I whisper he blushes. "So I'm guessing you two are back together?" Michael questions making us break apart. "Yeah they've been back together for like a week now." Ashton chimes in "Wait babe you knew and you didn't tell me?" "Way to go dude!" Michael smiles high-fiving Luke. Seriously though how did I ever get so lucky? I think to myself as Luke and I follow behind the rest of the gang back to the car. "Now let's go help Calum." he whispers wrapping an arm around my waist. I nod "sounds like a plan."

Natalie's POV

I turn up the volume on the radio as we play "She Looks So Perfect", as it blasts out of the stereos. We have the windows rolled down and the breeze is whipping my hair as Ashton continues to drive, with me and Sylvana in the back as we sing along as loudly and as badly as humanly possible.

"You girls sound fantastic." Ashton jokes as we finally pull up to the beach. Sylvana and I laugh as we stumble out of the car, grabbing our bags and towels before running ahead of everyone else, who had stuffed themselves into the truck. I noticed however, that Calum was nowhere.

"Hey, is Calum on the road?" I ask Michael and he looks at his phone before saying "He hasn't texted me, has he texted you?" I shake my head, checking my phone yet again. "Don't worry Nat, he might not have his phone on him, and plus the service around here always gets a little spotty." I nod, and I get a little worried before I set down my stuff and I quickly strip off my stuff to be left in my floral printed halter neck bikini. I hear Skyler wolf whistle behind me and I laugh as I flip my hair over my shoulder.

"Hey, you told me to put on my best bikini!" I argue and Skyler smiles before I sit down, laying down as I set my sunglasses on. Part of me didn't want this whole day to end. I was home, on the beach with the gorgeous ocean and sand between my toes, and the weather was fantastic! Plus I was with my best friends on what had been one of the best breaks of my life.

"Oi less tanning more splashing!" I heard Sylvana snap and I groaned as I saw her shadow loom over me. "But you guys are taking forever!" I pouted. Sylvana rolled her eyes and said "C'mon lazy butt." She pulled me up, before she then said "Race you to the water!" She immediately took off and I yelled "Hey, no fair!"

I sprinted after her as we both crashed into the foaming salt water, which turned out to be slightly chilly. "Holy shit!" Sylvana screeched as I laughed before I felt Skyler jump onto my back before we both toppled over into the water.

We continued to splash at each other before I heard Michael yell "Guys let's head to the cove!" We could barely hear him, so we end up swimming back over to him. "What did you say?" Sky asked and Michael rolled his eyes before saying "I SAID we should get to the cove." "Which one?" Skyler asks before Michael said "It's the one around the rock over there!" "Oh yeah, Calum's cove." I say as I flick my air to the side.

"Besides the currents aren't strong today!" Luke added and I shrugged before I said "I haven't been there for ages." "Well we might as well go! I wanna see it!" Sylvana says as we all swim out, and it all seems familiar to me. The currents aren't strong today, like Luke had said, so it makes it easy to get there.
