Chapter 48

"And you have my wife's blessing too." she gives him and looks and he pout his lips at her. I grin at the sight and can't help thinking this is going to be Catalie at there age. "Thank you." he whispers pulling his hand away and wiping a tear from his face. "And thank you." she grins kissing Mrs. Lane's cheeks and I can tell she's trying to hold back a smile.

"Nat! Get your lazy butt up!" I yell hitting her with a pillow she blocks her face. "Skyler? What are you doing here?" she asks her voice groggy. "Vana's downstairs we're going to have a beach day before the breaks over. "What time is it?' I hit her with the pillow again "Ow! Alright, alright I'm getting up!" she tells me throwing the covers off her. "Put on your cutest outfit and sexiest bathing suit and meet us downstairs in 20." I instruct jumping off her bed and shutting the door behind me.

Natalie come down the stairs 25 minutes later. Sylvana and I both look her up and down and then look at each other. "Sit" we say in unison. Natalie rolls her eyes sitting down in the chair and Sylvana and I start to fix her hair and make up.

"What has gotten into you guys today?" Natalie asks we look sat each other smiling. And I hear a knock at the door. "I'll be back." I say putting down the make up brush and running towards the door.

When I open it Michael is standing in the door frame. "What the hell Skyler?" he says holding out a piece of paper. "You're going on tour?" I automatically can't meet his eyes. "How'd you know that?" I reply no point in denying it.

"They've put ads up everywhere online, and this one was stapled to a tree." I snatch it out of his hand. I had replied late last night after a long talk with my mom. It was the best thing for my youtube career. I start to panic. "Has he-" "No, but I'm sure he will soon if you don't tell him." "There just hasn't been time!" I try to explain Michael leans close to me. "Make some." Then he turns and walks away.

"Who was at the door?" Nat asks me as Sylvana fiddles with her top, I don't reply I simply drop the flyer next to them and take a few steps back. I watch Natalie's eyes scan the print.

"You're leaving?" she asks me. "Wait what?" Vana chimes in looking at me. "I got the offer a couple days ago." "Wow..." "You realize this will be the longest we've been apart since pre school right?" Natalie reminds me. I smile remembering her pigtails and nod slightly. She tilts her head and smiles at me.

"I'm so proud of you!" she tells me engulfing me in a hug. "I love you, you know that?" I tell her knowing after today her life would change forever. "I know." she replies smugly, I roll my eyes. "I love you too." We hug again and Sylvana joins in. "I'm so happy I met you guys." she tells us pulling away.

"I haven't told Luke yet." I blurt out. "What?" they say in unison "Sky you have to tell him, I know I know I just... I don't know." "Sooner's better then later." she warns me. We hear the car honk outside. "Time to go!" Nat sings as we walk towards the door. "We all know you're going to be a famous singer soon no need to rub it in!" I joke.

As soon as I see Luke I feel guilty and I know I want to tell him before the big surprise so when we stop for fish and chips I tell him we needed to talk alone for minute.

"What's wrong?" Luke asks me touching my arm. "I got an offer to go on tour for four months earlier this week." I take a deep breath. "I said yes." "Oh." Luke replies. "Oh? That's really all you have to say?" I whine
