Late Night

Anne got home and rushed upstairs to see if Julie had texted her.

To her surprise, she'd had.

The message read:

Hey Anne! How was the park?

Anne immediately felt so much happier that she felt her heart go faster than the speed of light.

It was so simple yet made her feel so alive.

It was awesome! :)

Anne replied.

Anne quickly took off her shoes and started changing her clothes to be comfier.

That's good to hear! I hope we can hang out soon

"Oh my gosh, she wants to hang out!" Anne said to herself.

Yeah for sure I'd love to 

Anne tried hard not to sound super excited through text; she wanted Julie to think she was as cool as possible.

How was it possible that it only lasted a couple of hours and yet she missed Julie so much?

She was truly obsessed.

And she loved that feeling.

Awesome! Then it's a date? :)))

Anne smiled at Julie's request for a date.

But then she stopped for a second and realized that she hadn't settled into what had happened that day.

Was she officially dating Julie?

This was going way too fast for her. She hadn't even been in a proper relationship except for like two guys back in middle school that didn't last long.

But this was different. This was Julie and she was a girl.

Did it mean that Anne was gay now?

She didn't know how this whole thing worked.

All she knew is that she liked Julie and she wanted them to work.

A voice inside her head told her:

"If you want this to work then you need to set boundaries."

She took a deep breath and typed out:

A part of her felt bad that she didn't want it to be called a date.

She felt guilty because deep down she knew that Julie didn't want to take things as slowly as she did.

To her surprise Julie responded:

That's okay! Let's just call it hanging out, we have plenty of time ❤️

Anne felt butterflies again.

She felt so lucky that Julie was so accepting of her boundaries.

It made her grateful to be doing this with Julie.

She knew that continuing this relationship would be filled with a lot of hardships and obstacles but if it meant that she'd take them on with Julie in her eyes it was completely worth it.

Soon enough they started texting nonstop.

They started to talk about the most random things that they could think of.

Every single thought that popped into their head they would share.

It getting late haha

As soon as Julie said that Anne looked at her clock only to realize that it was 1:37 am.

Panic overcame her entire body. She usually slept around 10:00 pm.

Yeah you're right ima go ahead and sleep now I don't wanna get in trouble with my mom

Anne started closing her eyes and trying her best to fall asleep quickly.

She then heard a buzz on her phone and curiosity came over her.

When she saw the notification she immediately melted onto her bed.

Goodnight see you tomorrow ❤️
