I pushed at his chest, but he didn't budge an inch. "What the hell are you doing?!" I exclaimed at him. My emotions were on a rage. I was utterly bewildered and stunned, and didn't know how to react to what had just happened. I didn't know how to let it sink in that Blayze Colton kissed me. The man that had made working at Colton Enrerprises hell for me. The man that never acknowledged my efforts. The man that never spoke one kind word to me in his office.

Now he was standing before me, telling me that no one else could touch me, as if I required his permission. And he had the audacity to kiss me.

I couldn't decipher what I was feeling. A number of emotions bottled up inside of me, some wanting me to grab him and feel his lips again, while others wanting me to get the hell out of his presence.

I reminded myself that I couldn't have a soft corner for him, that I couldn't feel anything for him. I could not allow his presence to overpower my senses.

"Get away from me." I hissed at him after I didn't receive a response from him.

"Mihrimah, listen to m—" his voice was calm and composed, but I cut him off.

"It's Miss Woods to you! Do not ever say my name again! Do not ever speak to me again as if you own me! Do not tell me what to do, who to see, just get away from me! I don't want to see your face again or hear your voice! I'm so done with you!" My voice grew louder and louder with each word that left my mouth, and he just calmly listened with a neutral expression on his face.

"Miss Woods, if you'd just—"

"You're crowding me. I can't breathe. I don't want you near me!" I pushed at his chest again. This time he moved. He took two steps back, a look of dismay appearing on his face before he quickly covered it up.

I started walking away from him. I was so done. I needed to get out of there. I could hear his footsteps behind me, so I picked up my pace, but so did he.

I sucked in an exasperated breath before turning around, just as we stopped in front of the elevator. "Don't come after me!" I warned. He stilled on the spot, his eyes seeming to discretely plead with me, but I paid no heed to it.

I bet he considered me just like any other woman. A trophy.

"Mihrimah..." he began just as the elevator doors opened.

"Do not follow. Leave me alone." I said to him, stepping inside and quickly closing the doors.

As soon as the elevator doors opened on my floor, I stormed out, almost running to the suite we were staying at. My hand desperately clutched onto the key card as if my life depended on it. All thoughts and emotions were pushed back and ignored. I could still feel Blayze's lips on mine and it was driving me crazy.

I need to leave.

Pacing to my bedroom, I frantically gathered my stuff, tossing it into my suitcase, not even bothering to organise anything. My steps halted as my gaze fell on my reflection in the full length mirror. My lips were red and swollen. I hated how that immediately brought a flashback into my mind of how possessively and roughly Blayze had kissed me, as if I was his.

But you're not his. He's just a player.

Thankfully I hadn't unpacked much, so gathering my stuff was not a big task. Giving one final look to the room to make sure I had everything, I wheeled my suitcase out as fast as I could.

With my phone to my ear, I entered the elevator, praying to not run into Blayze. "Hello, Mihrimah." Alayah picked up after a few rings. She was my dad's assistant for years, and was almost like family to me.

"Hey, Alayah. Can you find me a flight back on urgent basis?"

"Yeah sure... is everything okay?" Her voice held concern.

"Yeah, everything's fine. The deal got finalised sooner than expected, so I wanted to come back." I replied.

"Oh I see. I'll find you a seat and call you right back." She said.

"Great. Also, can you please not tell mom and dad? I want to surprise them." I requested.

"Sure."

"Thank you, Alayah."

"No problem. I'll call you right back."

I hung up and stepped out from the elevator into the lobby of the hotel. Making sure not to look right and left, I headed straight for the exit, fearing I might run into Blayze.

Leaving the hotel went more smoothly than I expected. I never ran into Blayze, found a cab outside the hotel, and Alayah managed to book me a last minute flight.

It all happened too fast. In no time, I was on the flight back home. I had left Blayze Colton behind; I would never contact or see him again. His two missed calls were ignored.

I was leaving, but with the feel of his lips on mine, and the image of his fiery hazel brown eyes in my head.

The timing was odd, yet good. That day was the last day of my contract with Blayze Colton.

Here's to never seeing him again.
