Lorelei was fastening the strap to her heels when Jesse's phone rang. He sighed before placing the phone against his ear. Lorelei could hear someone sobbing on the other end. Jesse turned to look out the window so that he did not have to face Lorelei. She sat silently on the bed and watched as Jesse raked his fingers through his hair.

"Calm down, Mom," he said. "You still have six more days."

Jesse nodded. The woman's voice was muffled and Lorelei could not make out what she was saying.

"I can't come tonight. I have plans," he said. "I'll be there early in the morning."

Jesse snuck a glance at Lorelei before looking back out the window.

"I brought someone with me," he said. He paused. "Yes, a girl."

Lorelei smiled. Her fears about Jesse trying to hide her disappeared and the tension left her shoulders.

"She will come tomorrow morning," he said. "I'll talk to you later."

Jesse and his mother said their goodbyes before he ended the call. He let out a deep breath before sliding his phone into his pocket. Lorelei stood and wrapped her arms around his neck. Her heels put them at almost the same height. Lorelei usually hated being tall, but Jesse's height allowed her to wear heels. Unlike Matthew who would be upset when she was taller than him.

"I get to come tomorrow?" she asked.

"Yes," he said. "We're going to need all the hands we can get. Marlowe can't find a sitter for Logan."

Lorelei nodded. Jesse kissed her before patting her hip.

"Daniel hates it when I'm late," he said. "We better get going."

He laced his fingers with Lorelei's and they walked out of the hotel together. He called a taxi and kept his arm around Lorelei as they waited. She asked how Jesse knew Daniel and he explained how they met in elementary school. He told a couple of stories about how they got into trouble as kids. Lorelei listened and pictured Jesse getting into fights. Her stomach twisted when she remembered the cold look in his eyes when he punched Bryan at Molly's wedding.

Jesse pointed to multiple sights on the short trip to Gastown. They got out at the edge of the cobblestone street. Jesse grabbed her hand and she followed as he walked past a variety of boutiques. Lorelei was in awe as they walked by beautifully lit-up old buildings.

"I see him," Jesse said as he pulled her over to a lamppost.

Two men were standing next to the lights. The one smiled and waved at them. He was tall, almost as tall as Jesse, and had on a leather jacket. Jesse chuckled as they approached.

"What's with the jacket, Dan?" he asked. "Join a biker gang?"

"Hello to you too," Daniel said. "Not even going to introduce me to your girlfriend first? Have to go straight to insulting me?"

"It wasn't an insult, just an observation."

Daniel rolled his eyes before holding his hand out toward Lorelei.

"I'm Daniel," he said. She shook his hand and he pointed over to the man next to him. "This is my boyfriend Ken."

"Nice to meet you two," she said. "My name is Lorelei."

"Oh we know," Daniel said. "Jesse doesn't shut up about you."

Lorelei smiled and could feel the heat rush to her cheeks. Jesse wrapped his arm around her and pulled her away from Daniel.

"I have reservations," Daniel said. "Let's not lose them."

"There's a great band playing tonight," Ken said.

"Let's go," Jesse said.

He kept his arm around Lorelei as they walked down the cobblestone street. Daniel led them to a restaurant. He looked over his shoulder and would tell Lorelei tidbits of information about Vancouver. He brought them to a restaurant that had a large patio. Lorelei was happy that they got a seat outside. A band was playing on a stage inside.

Jesse put his hand on Lorelei's leg. His hand slid up her thigh and slipped under her dress. Lorelei's thighs clenched together and she looked up to see Jesse smirking.

"Don't fuck at this table please," Daniel said.

Lorelei's eyes went wide when she looked at Jesse's friend. Ken raised his menu to try and hide his blushing face. Jesse chuckled.

"We won't give you a show," he said.

"I watched you all throughout high school," Daniel said. "Your life should have been a chlamydia PSA."

"You had chlamydia?" Lorelei asked.

Jesse rolled his eyes.

"I never once had chlamydia," he said.

"Hailey Clarke gave you quite the scare though," Daniel said.

"New topic!"

Lorelei covered her mouth as she laughed. Jesse curled his fingers tighter into her thigh.

"Were you a womanizer in high school?" Lorelei asked Jesse.

"Not really," he said. "I dated a lot, but nothing wild."

"What are you talking about?" Daniel laughed. "You tried to bring three different girls to prom."

Lorelei's jaw dropped as she looked at Jesse. He was chewing on his bottom lip. She knew that this all happened when he was a teenager, but she struggled to see Jesse being a man whore. He was confident in his looks, so she wondered if he was just as attractive as a teen. Throughout high school, Lorelei had braces and acne. She was sure that Jesse would have never dated a girl like her back in the day.

"They all asked me to prom," Jesse said. "It would have been rude to say no."

"You're only supposed to bring one," Daniel said.

"I thought I could handle it."

Daniel scoffed and rolled his eyes. Jesse's hand slid further up Lorelei's thigh. His fingers brushed along her thong. Heat was pooling between her thighs. She pushed his hand off of her leg. She knew that she would be tearing off Jesse's clothes in the crowded restaurant if he brushed his fingers along her clit.

"How did you decide on which one to take?" Lorelei asked.

"He picked the one with the biggest boobs," Daniel said.

"Seriously?" Jesse asked. "You're not making me look very good."

"You make it too easy," Daniel said.

"Should I tell Ken about how you gave the quarterback a blowjob under the bleachers before the Championship game?" Jesse asked.

Ken lowered his menu to reveal that his cheeks were bright red. He started to talk about various menu items in an attempt to change the conversation topic. Jesse smirked as he put his hand back onto Lorelei's thigh. She flipped through the menu and tried to ignore his hand slowly traveling up her leg.
