Kane POV

I'm shaken awake by the vehicle lurching forward. I groan sticking my head through the sunroof.

Kane: "Watch it, I'm tryna take a nap."

Hajime: "Tell that to the bunny mooning us."

Myu: "Why're you riding on the roof Papa?"

Kane: "Cause it's fun."

Myu: "Can I try?"

Kane: "I don't see why not."

I lift her up putting her in my lap.

Myu: "It's really windy!"

Kane: "Yep! You'll get used to it!"

Hajime: "We're coming up on our destination."

We enter the outpost. Entering we walk down the street with Myu sitting on my shoulders. We eventually arrive at the guild hall talking to a man.

Hajime: "You the guild leader?"

Loa: "Yes. Indeed I am. Name's Loa Bawavis."

Hajime hands him a letter.

Hajime: "We got a letter from the Adventure's Guild leader over in Fuhren."

Loa: "Thank you."

He opens the letter.

Loa: "It seems to be an introduction of sorts. Sounds like you folks went on quiet a rampage."

Kane: "There was some damage."

Loa: "Hard to believe I've never heard of a group of people capable of destroying an army of sixty thousand and devastating an entire criminal underground network until now. But I've never known Ilwer to lie on another's behalf."

Suddenly the door opens. A boy then becomes visible panting in exhaustion.

Boy: "Urgent message! There's a demon in the labyrinth!"

Loa: "And just who are you?"

Hajime: "That'd be Endo."

Endo: "Hajime? Is that really you?"

Kane: "Hate to break this up. But what's this about a demon?"

Endo: "Right. Allow me to explain."

We listen to his rather long story. When he finishes I munch on some popcorn.

Kane: *mouthful* "Wow, sounds like they're screwed."

Endo: "How can you be so nonchalant!?!"

Kane: "Calm down kid."

Endo: "I can't calm down!!! I have to save-"

I slap his cheek. He holds it looking at me.

Kane: "I know what it's like to wanna save people. But right now you're not in the proper shape to do that. So do me a favor and take a deep breath."

He inhales and lets out a long exhale.

Kane: "Good. Now tell me where I can find this demon."

Endo: "You mean you'll help me?"

Kane: "Course. Can't let a gaggle of students go dying when there's something I can do about it."

Endo: "Thank you. They're in the Great Orcus Labyrinth."

Kane: "Thank you."

I stand up as Hajime speaks.

Hajime: "Don't even think about leaving us behind."

Kane: "Then keep up if you can."

He smiles.

*timeskip presented by the others trying to keep up with Kane*

As I barrel down the road I think to myself.

Kane: "I can't ever take back what I did. But I can at least try to atone for it. Therefore from this day onward I'm gonna do whatever I can to help save people. Maybe then when my time comes god can have some semblance of forgiveness for my sins."

I blast through the labyrinth doors running as fast as I can. Hajime and the others join me.

Hajime: "So how exactly are you gonna find the students?"

Kane: "I'll just use presence sense."

As soon as I activate it I feel a large group under my feet.

Kane: "They're below us."

I ignite my hands then jump. As I come down I spin my body tunneling straight downwards.

3rd POV

The students watch in horror as their assailant prepares another attack.

Cattleya: "This is the end heroes."

Shizuku: "May god have mercy on us."

Right as Cattleya launches her attack the whole place rumbles. Kane is then seen coming through the roof deflecting her attack. 

Cattleya: "Impossible!"

Kane: "My dear, nothing's impossible with me."

Kane POV

I look at the students.

Kane: "Fear not simple heroes. Your savior is here."

Girl: "Look out!!"

I reach behind me catching the girl's wrist.

Woman: "How!?!"

Kane: "Simple. You're not strong enough to hit me."

I smile which only makes her mad.
