The Unholy (Arifureta X OC)

Reisen Gorge

Kane POV

We now find ourselves at the base of a giant tree with a stone slab sticking out of the earth.

Hajime: "That's the Great Tree?"

Cam: "It's been dead since before Verbergen was established. But it never rotted away. It's stood for ages, lifeless but unchanging."

We walk to the stone slab.

Hajime: "That looks like Oscar's ring."

Yue: "It's the same design."

Hajime: "That means we found the entrance to another labyrinth."

I place Oscar's ring in the slot with his symbol. Text then appears on the slab.

Yue: "This door will open once more only to those who possess the four symbols, the power of regeneration and a beacon formed out of ironclad bonds."

Shea: "What's it all mean?"

Yue: "The four symbols? They mean those are the labyrinth relics?"

Shea: "What about the beacon of ironclad bonds?"

Yue: "No clue. But the power of regeneration."

She pricks her finger smearing some of her blood on the slab. Nothing happens.

Kane: "So much for that."

Yue: "Maybe if we clear out the other labyrinths we'll learn more about ancient magic."

Kane: "And if luck turns out the mentioned power of regeneration."

Hajime: "Looks like we've got a plan. Let's get to it."

The next day we head out with Shea by our side for some reason.

Kane: "Remind me why we're taking her with us."

Yue: "She won our deal. Her prize was the choice to tag along with us."

Kane: "Joy."

Shea: "That hurt you know."

Kane: "I don't care."

A few hours later we search through a gorge.

Hajime: "Aw man. All the map says is the entrance to the labyrinth is in Reisen Gorge. Thanks for nothing mapmaker."

Shea: "Sure, whatever."

Kane: "Why're you squirming?"

Shea: "I just... uh... need to go."

Hajime: "You won't find a bathroom anywhere down here."

She runs off.

Kane: "Why'd we even bring her? She hasn't done a single useful thing. I vote we kick her out. Because at this point she's more useful than-"

Shea: "I found something!"

Kane: "Damnit."

We walk to her. 

Hajime: "What's a sign doing here?"

Voice: "Hi there. Glad to meet you. Let me be the first to welcome you to Miledi Reisen's Super Duper Exciting Labyrinth."

Kane: "Yep, that voice's annoying."

Hajime: "Where's it coming from?"

Shea: "Who cares. This' the entrance we've been looking for."

Yue: "Question is how do we get in?"

Hajime: "It's most likely complicated."

Kane: "We might be here all-"

Shea screams. We turn seeing her fall down an exposed shaft.

Kane: "I'm starting to think that rabbit ain't as clueless as she pretending to be."

We hop down the shaft.

Hajime: "Where'd the rabbit go?"

Kane: "There."

They follow my finger to see her pinned to the wall. We then notice a obvious pee puddle under her.

Shea: "Can we pretend this never happened?"

Kane: "No."

Getting her down we see a small stone tablet. Looking at it we hear Miledi's voice.

Miledi: "Did that scare ya? Give you quite a fright didn't it? Gonna cry to your mommy?"

Shea smashes the tablet to pieces with a hammer Hajime made.

Miledi: "Nice try, but these stone tablets will automatically regenerate after a certain amount of time."

Hajime: "I'm starting to think Miledi wasn't one of those liberators. Just a scourge on humanity."

Yue: "I have to agree."

Kane: "I just wanna pound her face in."

Hajime: "Then let's go find her."

*timeskip presented by the heroes searching every nook and cranny for Miledi*

After some time we finally come to a room with numerous suits of armor.

Hajime: "Yep. This' definitely a trap."

Shea: "You think they're gonna come to life and attack us?"

Kane: "It's pretty much guaranteed."

Right on queue the suits come to life. 

Kane: "What do you think Hajime, should I go for it?"

Hajime: "Hell yeah."

I smile crouching down. Flames then surround my body.

Kane: "Whistling demon."

The sound barrier shatters as I fly towards the suits of armor. They are blown to pieces as I barrel through them. 

Hajime: "Okay you can stop now."

Kane: "Kinda can't! Aaaaahhhhh!!!"

I slam head first into the wall eliciting a pained wince from the others. I groan as birds fly around my head.

Yue: "You okay?"

Kane: "I can hear colors."

Yue: "He's fine."
