●○● A/N: Mark's pov! c; oh and for reference, Jew is the one played by Fergie and Jack is the one played by Jet (partner to another character- Koh)! I know some people get mixed up with the names and honestly sometimes I do the same.

-Mark-

When Kit had taken off from me, I had watched him swim away with slight fascination. He was a good swimmer, no doubt about that. For a few minutes there, I was just entranced by how he swam, pushing past the gentle ripples of water. 

I genuinely don't know how long I stood there, simply treading at the water, before I got interrupted by someone's voice behind me. Tearing my eyes away from Kit, I turned around, my gaze automatically locking with a girl who was staring up at me intently.

"Sawadee kha!"

"Sawadee.."

I tilted my face up for a few seconds, running my hands through my wet bangs to push them away from my vision. God's sake. I should trim my hair.

"Sawadee khrup." I then greeted her politely, deciding to ignore that there were other girls, possibly her friends, lingering close by.

"I don't mean to disturb you.." She began, to which I shook my head, "But I was wondering if you'll open an umbrella for us?"

"Pardon?"

The girl laughed, "Oh my friends and I had bought a standing umbrella for our picnic but we can't get it to open, we thought we'll ask whoever we spot first. And well, that happened to be you."

"Oh, alright, where is it?"

"Follow me." The girl beckoned with a wave before I began to follow her slowly to shore, "It's a nice day today, isn't it?"

"Indeed." 

I heard her friends giggle before she did the same.

"Actually, I'll be honest with you. The umbrella isn't the only reason we approached you. I mean- it is one of the reasons but... we have been watching you ever since you stepped into the water and we thought that you're pretty handsome. So... would you like to stay for lunch? We were thinking of going to one of the broadway restaurants after we finish."
