-Kit-

The silence that was currently in the room, seemed to be louder than anything else in the world. It was deafening.

What the hell... did I just say?

I found myself frozen in my seat, blinking my eyes a few times. Mark, on the other hand, was staring right back at me, his bright and bubbly aura from earlier beginning to subside. His eyes grew soft, not in anger, but something else that I couldn't clearly define.

"If you disliked me this much, P'Kit, you should have told me since day one." Mark's words were nothing but a pin dropped.

"I..." I felt a pang strike at me again, but this time it wasn't in my chest, but right at my head again, as I dreadfully felt my headache arise once more, "Mark, wait."

I had my hand clutched at my temple, for the throbbing was beginning to turn painful all over again. Clearly, the pill I had taken earlier was beginning to wear off. I was grimacing, closing my eyes shut for a few seconds from the sudden attack of pain.

"...And if you have, then I wouldn't have asked you to tutor me. I wouldn't have asked you to do something out of your comfort zone just because you want to be helpful. I know that and I appreciate that, Phi, that you want to help me."

"Mark... wait a moment."

I wasn't able to focus on his words clearly. I was trying so hard to settle down the pain in my head, that my mind seemed to be a haze.

"What's wrong, Phi? Am I... irritating you even more by speaking? Is that it?"

I shook my head, the stinging increasing by that movement, and I held back my suppressed flinch of pain.

"P'Kit? P'Kit, are you okay?"

I heard the dragging metallic sound of a chair getting moved, and a clatter of footsteps immediately approaching me.

"P'Kit?!"

Mark's hands were clutching at my shoulders, feeling at my body.

"Hey! P'Kit?"

"Mark, don't, I'll be okay." I whispered out, "Just a... just a headache."

"No! I'll take you to the infirmary, let's go."

"Mark, no."

"Phi, I'm not asking you."
