It's my birthdayyyyy.. But i was in no birthday mood. 18 was already being a bitch. "morning sweetie" ma whispered while walking into my room. "morning ma" i mumbled as she kissed my forehead.
"18's a bitch already?" she asked as i nodded. "what's wrong?" she whispered as i sat up straight. "can you love two persons at the same time?" i asked, hearing her sigh heavily. "technically yes, but not at the same level" she said as i fondled with the edge of my blanket.
"if you really loved the first person, the second person wouldn't be in the picture" she said. "but i do love the first person" i spoke up. "then you have your answer" she said simply as i sighed miserably.
"you have your party later sweetie, cheer up a bit" she whispered while kissing the side of head. "happy birthday bitch!" brayden shouted while jumping onto my bed. "dude! it's 7 in the morning" i mumbled as he hugged me tightly on purpose.
"how's 18 so far?" he asked. "i don't like her, tell 17 to come back" i mumbled grumpily, walking towards my bathroom. I stared at the brown sheet over my mirror as i brushed my teeth.
I sniffled while getting in the shower, getting ready for the school day ahead. As i walked downstairs, i smiled when i saw my family smiling at me, a huge breakfast on the table.
"happy birthday too you" they sang causing me to place my hands over my heart. "thank you" i whispered while hugging them all. "i helped ma make it!" kyle said as he hugged me tightly.
"thank you bud!" i said as i kissed his cheek. "happy birthday sis" brayden whispered as he hugged me. I could've sworn i saw a lil tear in his eyes. "brayden?! are you crying?!" i asked, hearing him sniffle.
"yeah, you're like grown now" he mumbled. "you were right here the last time i saw you, i swear" he whispered while raising his hand a little above the ground.
"i was not that short!" i said as he laughed softly. "you were! always asking to go to the park, eating all my food" he said while wiping his face. "girl what are you doing to me?! i don't cry" he said as ma chuckled at us.
"i hope you have a great birthday" he said while giving a tight hug again. "thank you, and i will" i said while sitting down to eat. I hadn't eaten since breakfast yesterday. I was absolutely starving.
Amari's POV I stood beside jaeda's locker, her gift in my left hand, my phone in the other. "i would really appreciate it if you backed off my girlfriend" santiago said while walking up to me.
I chuckled while shaking my head before looking back at my phone. "i mean it" he said sternly. "really?" i asked as i turned my phone off, giving him my full attention. "yes! don't you get that she doesn't love you anymore?" he argued.
