Set in a human world. Also takes place in Grey's Anatomy. This is after you got a call that Josie had fallen three stories off a balcony. The railing broke.

I walk into Grey-Sloan Memorial's Emergency Room. I felt panicked. How could something like this just happen to someone like her. She's so sweet and pure. I kept walking until the doors open to reveal doctors working on Josie.

"Oh, my god. Oh, my god. Oh, my god!" I panicked more seeing how hurt she truly was. "Josette, I'm right here. I'm right here." My chest felt heavy. "Oh, my god. Oh, my god. Is she—"

"Is she on any medication?" The blonde doctor asked abruptly. "Has she had any previous surgeries?"

I shook my head trying to think. "Um...uh, she — she gets migraines sometimes, and — and she has a scar from — she had her appendix out." I tried to breathe. "Is — is she — I'm — we're getting married tomorrow. She didn't want me to see her until she walked down the aisle, and I — she got her own hotel room." I was still trying to process it all.

"Hey, hey, hey. What's your name, buddy?" The male doctor with kind eyes spoke to me calmly.

"Y/n... l/n." I replied.

The doctor nodded. "Y/n. Okay, well, the best thing you can do to help Josette is to let the people in this room do what we know how to do, okay?" He tells me.

"Okay, okay. Oh, god." I breathe.

A nurse comes over. "Let me show you where to wait." She gestures for me to follow her.

"And I thought my wedding day was a mess." I overheard one of the doctors as I walked away.

Three doctors came to the waiting room to get me. They told me their names were Dr. Grey, Dr. Linc and Dr. Karev. They took me to Josie's room where she was in a neck brace and hooked up to all sorts of tubes and wires. She looked so fragile.

I stood by her side and took her hand. "She's in a coma?"

"It's a medically induced coma." Dr. Grey tried to explain to me. "The sedation will keep her calm and allow her body to heal."

The monitors beeped as I looked at her. "But... she will wake up?" I then looked at the doctors.

"Josette—" Dr. Linc had began explaining something but I cut him off.

"Josie. She goes by Josie. She only lets me call her Josette." I explained.

He nodded. "Josie lost a lot of blood, and her body underwent severe stress. We don't always know how a patient's gonna recover from that." Even when he was giving bad news his eyes were kind.

"So she won't wake up." I looked at Josie petrified. I couldn't live without her.

"We can't know for sure." Dr. Karev said trying to give me a little hope.

"We will continue to monitor her and support her and do everything we can." Dr. Grey said.

I turned and looked at them. "I don't know what to do." I shook my head with tears in my eyes.

"You can hold her hand. You can speak to her. She may be able to hear you." Dr. Grey told me.

I nodded as the monitors continued to beep. I looked a Josie's beautiful face. She has bruises on half her face but she was still beautiful.

"She was gonna wear a yellow dress... for our wedding. She's not a traditionalist, and..." My voice cracks. "... she's not a kid. We waited forever to meet each other." I take a breathe trying not to cry. "It was just this one tradition — sleeping apart. We thought it would bring us good luck."
