Part 4: Arhana's engagement

Rhea, to herself:"why is he so rude? Why isn't he attracted to me? No boy dared to refuse Rhea Mehra. Whatever it is, Mr. Ranbir Kohli, i will make sure you start to notice me."

Shahana noticed the look on Rhea's face and facepalmed herself.
Aryan asked her on noticing her.
Shahana:"she is planning something. She is my cousin. I know her and that look. Something is definitely up with her and your brother is involved in that."

Aryan:"we have to keep her away from him. Ranbir is a lone wolf. He would not hesitate to push her away not caring if he hurt her or not."

Pallavi was noticing everything and smirked thinking about something.

Engagement party:
Ranbir was with Aryan helping him getting ready.
Aryan:"bro, up for a brothers' selfie."
Ranbir chuckled and posed with him.

Dida came there and was emotional seeing the boys.
Dida:"Aryan is getting married, when will you?"
Pointing to Ranbir.
Ranbir:"that's the reason, i was telling you to delay the wedding. Because she will ask for mine just after."
Aryan:"why should i suffer for you?"
Ranbir:"you are my brother, that's why."
Aryan:"no problem. Dida, we will find someone for him soon as well."
Ranbir lightly punched his stomach.

Dida:"Ranbir, don't tease him. It's his engagement today."
Ranbir:"teasing him won't stop even when we reach old age."
The boys hugged each other.
Pallavi:"what a scene! Two brothers love each other so much."

Ranbir stiffened immediately which was noticed by Aryan.
Pallavi:"we will get late. We should go."
Dida:"yes, yes. Let's go."
She brought Ranbir and Aryan outside.

Vikram and Pallavi joined them and they left for Mehra's house which was just next to them.

Mehra's mansion:
Tge Mehras welcomed the Kohlis. Aryan's eyes were searching for only one person but couldn't find her.
Ranbir, whispering to him:"so impatient. Calm down, she will come soon."
Aryan:"you won't understand. Let a girl come in your life and then you will see how eager you become to see her."
Aryan noticed Ranbir in deep thoughts and nudged him.

Ranbir:"i will be back."
Aryan nodded and Ranbir left from there.

Aryan was called on the stage and took his place. He searched around for Ranbir but didn't find him in the crowd.
Shahana was called on stage and Aryan noticed that it was Ranbir who brought her downstairs. He smiled seeing their increasing bonding.
Aryan couldn't take his eyes off Shahana. She was wearing a beautiful pink lengha with matching jewelry.
Once she was seated by Aryan, they started the rituals.
Shahana made him wear the ring first and then Aryan did.
Abhigya  blessed and gifted them, followed by Dadi, Dida and Rhea.
Rhea only congratulated Aryan.

After the ring ceremony, Abhi went on stage to ask for a performance.
He called upon all the couples and himself danced with Pragya.
Arhana also joined them as well as other couples.

Ranbir went to the bar and ordered a drink. Rhea came to him.
Rhea:"so Mr. Ranbir Kohli, will you have a dance with me?"
She forwarded her hand.

Ranbir drank and looked at her.
Ranbir:"not interested."
Rhea:"tough to break the ice, right?"
Ranbir, finishing his drink:"just impossible." He placed his glass and left from there.
He joined Dida and danced with her instead.

Dida:"when are you finding someone who you can dance with like this?"
Ranbir:"you are my best dance partner."
They have a laughed.

Rhea fumed looking at Ranbir. She drank furiously and was asking for another one but was stopped by Pallavi.
Pallavi signed her no and smirked looking at Ranbir.
