Demi

I felt a blanket wrap around my shoulders as I was nodding off. I jump a little and look up at the person, it was Marisol.

"Hey," I say quietly and she gives me a soft smile in the dark. I felt her sit beside me and wrap a arm around my shoulders, I lay my head on her shoulder.

"It's late amor, why don't you head to bed and talk to Nick in the morning?" She suggests and I shake my head.

"No, I need to get him to listen to me. I'll wait as long as I have to." I say and she sighs, playing with my hair.

"You're stubborn, you know that right?" She says and I smile a little.

"I know." I sighed softly, closing my eyes for a moment. Sleep tug at my mind, but I refuse to go to sleep until Nick and I set things straight. "What time is it?" I softly ask her.

"Las una de la mañana," (It's one in the morning,) She answers me and I nod.

"Oi, gringa." Marisol nudges me and I scowl at the name.

"Don't call me that, you know how much I hate that name." I say and she laughs quietly.

"Okay, gringa." She says and I roll my eyes. "But anyway, tell me, how do you feel about Nick? Like, you have got to have more feelings about him then a simple crush, if you push Axel away and ran after him, then you are going head over heels about him, you guys aren't novio y novia." (boyfriend and girlfriend.) She says and I sigh, grabbing her hand and playing with her fingers.

"Yes, I think it's more than a crush and a 'me gusta' kind of thing. But when I'm with Nick, he makes me smile and laugh at the stupidest things. He's a dork yet so adorable, but when I'm dancing with him, it's like we are the only ones there. I feel on top of the world with him. When we dance tango, he holds me like I'm a million bucks, fragile yet firm. He makes me emotional after a single dance, and we don't even say anything, only let our bodies talk. I love the way he tries to say something in Spanish and mess it up, how his brown eyes look at me from across the room and always smile when we lock eyes. He's so nice and caring, a gentleman, he listens to me when I speak to him in Spanish and I'm too lazy to translate yet he leaves it at that. And I love it how he surprises me by kissing me at unexpected times, when we're out in public or with you guys. We act like lovers yet we are not but I'm going to ask him to be my boyfriend if things turn alright after we talk. I just like everything about him." I ranted on and on, and when I finished with a content sigh, Marisol was giggling to herself.

"Yep, it's official. You're whipped and totally in love with the guy, there is no denying it." She says and I slap her shoulder as she laughs a bit too loud.

"And I like everything about you too," I heard the voice of Nick say from the top of the staircase.

I gasp, sitting up and standing up, the blanket drops from my shoulders. "Nick," I breathe, looking at him in the dark hallway.

"Welp, that's my cue to go. G'night amores," (loves,) Marisol says and pats my head before leaving to her room.

I stood there, watching him in the dark, I could make out his figure. "Um, hot chocolate?" He asks me and I nodded, even though he couldn't see me.

"Yeah, hot chocolate." I agree and follow him downstairs. When he flick on the lights of the kitchen, I finally saw him.

My heart drop to my stomach. His hair was messed up, like he ran his fingers through it a lot, his eyes bloodshot like he has been crying, his face pale with dried stain tears. His clothes were mess up and I saw bruises on his knuckles, he also reeked of beer and piss.
