"Kanina ka pa pabalik-balik dito, Shrynae. Ayos ka lang ba?" The nurse sounds concerned to me.

"It's just that my temperature keeps going up and down." The nurse gave me a thermometer and my temperature is 38.1°.

"Dito ka nalang muna, Shrynae, dun ka sa female ward." I became close to our cold nurse because I kept going back here. And she's not cold to me anymore.

"Nah, I'm good, miss nurse. I'm used to this." She held my wrist, stopping me from leaving the clinic.

"Hindi na normal 'to. I'm a nurse, I know that there's something wrong with you. But I'm not a doctor, so anong sakit mo?" I stared at the nurse for a minute.

"Don't tell anyone about this, miss nurse." I looked around and saw Laune walking pass by. He always saw me going back and forth here in the clinic, but he doesn't care about me anymore. It feels like to him, I didn't exist.

"I have leukemia." Ms. Nurse let go of my wrist and her eyes widened.

"Jusko. Magpahinga ka na nga dun sa female ward! Baka mapano ka pa!" She's yelling at me but I know that she's concern about me.

"Thank you, miss nurse." I smiled at her before going to the female ward.

***

Dear Diary,
I kept going to the clinic because my fever keeps going up and down. My dad doesn't know about it because I didn't tell him. I just want to live normal, even at my last moments. Laune saw me going back and forth at the clinic but he just ignored me.
