As usual, the morning was mildly warm. Considering it was a summer, it felt colder than usual.

Maddie and Meta Knight were already in Kabu Canyon by the time that the sun had risen.

The synchronized pattern of their swords made their battle look like an elegant dance, with their blades clashing with might. Both of them had their focus turned on the other's movement and managed to make realistic predictions of their next move. Neither side could beat the other as Maddie had been trained so well that she made for an excellent match.

While they fought deep in the depths of Kabu Canyon, Galacta Knight found himself waking up in an empty bed once again. It confused him; Meta Knight and him had more free time so why didn't they wake up together? He'd be more than happy to wake up early, as long as he was by his side.

Disheartened, he managed to get out of his bed and put his armour and mask on. Instead of being miserable about it, he decided to go and find out where his boyfriend had gotten to.

On his way over, Galacta Knight knocked on (Y/n)'s door and requested that they came with. "Oh, sure dad!" (Y/n) beamed.

When realization hit, (Y/n)'s face heated up in embarrassment before shouting aloud in distress,"I meant Galacta! You know I meant Galacta!"

He gave a masked grin and patted (Y/n) on their head,"Well, am I like a dad to you?" Galacta Knight smirked.

"Well.." (Y/n) stammered,"Kinda. I guess you and Meta feel like parents for me."

Galacta felt rather prideful to have them say such a thing. To think that he went from living in complete isolation to having a family - it was interesting to thing of the progress made.

Their search was successful and they ended up finding the duo in the canyon as they finished up on their training.

At once, Galacta rushed forwards and threw his arms around Meta, cuddling him tightly. (Y/n) gave Maddie a pleasant smile and a small wave.

"Meta, I have a question. Can we do something today? Just the two of us, maybe.." Galacta Knight proposed, fumbling with his gloved fingers.

"Uh..I didn't expect you t-to want to go on a d-date.." Meta stuttered.

(Y/n) and Maddie exchanged smug glances and the human rubbed her hands together, smirking.

"Yes, yes; you should go on a date. It would really help you both to relax a bit." (Y/n) intervened, stating their opinion.

The bat winged swordsman tried to decline the offer, but couldn't bring himself to. Maddie had developed her swordsman skills and could cope in a duel very efficiently. Furthermore, he concluded that she would be fine as she was.

"C'mon, you two can go off some place and have a great time under the stars; it's what you need and, by extension, what you deserve." Maddie nodded.

Without a protest, Meta Knight allowed the two of them to go forwards and elaborate on the idea they had came up with. "How about the beach? It's a nice place to hang out usually.." Galacta Knight suggested with a thoughtful glisten in his eyes.

"I'm not too fond of the beach, but if you want to go then I'll make no protests." The swordsman shrugged.

A shadow towered above Meta Knight, the shadow of the king that was. With a sword in his hand, he pointed the blade directly at Maddie and declared out loud," Madeline Starstruck, I hear by declare a duel."

"You mean request a duel?" Maddie corrected.

"Eh, what's the difference?!" Dedede shouted.

"When you declare a duel, it means you're forcing it. When you request or propose a duel, you're asking me for it." She explained.

"Well I am!"

She rolled her caramel eyes,"No you're not. The only reason I am doing this is for honor and dignity, you moron. I could walk off right now if I desired."

The King clutched his sword with both hands and got into an amateur stance. Unmoved by the event, Maddie got the training sword she's borrowed and held it in front of her with a firm grip on the hilt.

(Y/n), Meta Knight and Galacta Knight watched on, rooting for Maddie to win. It amused them that it all spouted from an argument and escalated to such an extent that one of them could die.

With a quick flick of her wrist, Maddie jolted her sword's tip near Dedede's hand and caused him to drop his sword. Landing a far distance away from Dedede, his sword made a rough clash as it clattered to the floor effortlessly. Now unarmed, Dedede raised his hands in a surrender..

But Maddie wasn't finished there.

She advanced forwards, with her sword in both hands and pointing at his left shoulder. For an odd reason, she put it closer and drew it across horizontally. The blade was only a centimeter away from his Rouge robe and she noticed the fearful expression he wore during the near death experience.

"Scared? Worried? Confused? Weak? Insecure?" Maddie asked, as she drew the sword back,"Ill let you go now, but don't return here again, you understand you roach?"

A terrified squeak escaped the King before he ran into the depths of Whispy Woods. He retreated to his castle to complain about his failure to Bandana Waddle Dee.

The Knight couple slunk off to the beach, in hopes that nobody would find them together.

I've been working on some designs for characters made. If you've read other books of mine, you'll know that in total there are 11 Starstruck sisters. Yes, there are eleven of them and I'm not sure if I would like to add another one into this story. I'll let you decide;whoever gets back to me first can decide if she can or can't join the story.

Her name is Saffron Starstruck. She is the leader of a gang and has an overall bittersweet personality.
