The woman smiled with teary eyes and joined hands and said, “Mai vaada karti hoon aapse meri bachi jaroor padhegi, vidyalaya jarur jayegi. Iske baba wapas aaye to mai unse baat karungi wo nhi maane to zid karungi kuch v karungi par apni bachi ko jarur padhaungi. Mai ladungi apni bachi ke liye taki ise wo sab na sehna pade jo ham jaiso ko sehna pada hai, atmasamman ki zindagi jiyegi ye.
Par ek dar v hai, koi nhi byahta vidyalaya me jake ladko ke sath padhnewali ladkiyo ko. Meri beti ka kya hoga (paused for a min) Jo v ho jaye mai bhejungi apni beti ko padhne, kisi aur ke liye nhi apne liye jiyegi apni icha se jiyegi.”
A smile crept on Anirudh, Bondita and the little girl’s face who was silently watching all this. Bondita stepped towards the woman and hugged her.
“Mujhe garv hai aisi maa par jo apnj bachi ke atmasamman aur khushi ke liye sabse ladne ki tyar hai aur aapki bachi ko v bahut garv hoga.” Bondita said while hugging.
Bondita turned towards the little girl and said, “Hamesha apni maa ki izzat karna, har kisi ke paas aisi maa nhi hoti.”
Anirudh could sense Bondita’s state seeing such a supportive mother and he was at guilt of involving and manipulating her mother in his plan and snatching her mother’s support from her when she needed it badly.
“Par mai chahti hoon ki is bachi ki padhai ka kharch mai hi uthaun, mana mat kijiyega please mai samajhti hoon ise padhne bhejna hi kitna mushkil honewala hai aapke liye. Mai ise apni bachi samajh ke ye karna chahti hoon.” Bondita said joining her hands.
The woman agreed and both Anidita went away saying they’ll come again.
They came and sat in the car taking their previous position and Anirudh mind filled with the flashbacks of all what just happened at the little girl’s house and all Bondita’s words ringing her mind.
“Bondita please kya ham thodi der baat kar sakte hai, mai tumhe kuch batana chahta hoon. Please ek baar meri baat sun lo, ek baar.” Anirudh said.
“Thik hai Barrister Babu kahiye kya kehna hai aapko?” Bondita said though she didn’t want to listen to but she knew he has some burden on his heart after witnessing whatever happened there so she agreed to listen to him.
“Yaha nhi Bondita, kisi shaant jagah pe jahan shaant hoke thande dimaag se meri baat samajh sun aur samajh sako.”
Anirudh turned the car and drove to nearby riverside where he can talk to Bondita. Both of them went and sat on the bank of the river.
