"Make me." Is that a challenge?
"God, get a room for Christ's sake." Geo sighs.
"Big talk coming from Lavender's number one fan." Asher retorts. Lavender blushes at that. So, maybe she is aware of Geo's attention.
"Fuck you man." Geo rolls his eyes, giving Lavender an awkward smile.
"I think we are done here." I conclude, moving away from the table to head to my room.
"Vienna, wait." Anna calls me. I stop and turn around in the doorway.
"We actually need to go shopping, we should all go together." She gestures to the table.
"It would make it easier to be coordinated if we bought our outfits together." Tony adds in.
I look at Asher. Could I seriously survive a whole day in a confined store with him? Without stabbing him? Most likely not. Obviously it shows on my face because Kai adds,
"You two will have to not kill each other for this to work."
"I think we can manage." Asher makes a sarcastic face at Kai.
"Whatever. Fine. We'll go Sunday." I huff in response.
"That works!" Anna smiles. Tyler reaches his hand out to hold hers. Gag.
"Okay, I need a break from this conversation because my head is still pounding. I'll be back in a bit." This time I actually made it to my room.
I walk in and go straight to my bed. Any conversation with Asher is exhausting, and the hangover doesn't help. I plop down with my back to the bed and put my hands over my eyes. My room being mostly white becomes unbearable sometimes when the sun comes through the windows. Not even five minutes later my phone dings with a text. I groan as I sit up to find where I tossed my phone in the mess of light blue sheets. I look at the screen to see a text from Rider.
<My place, tonight?> I smile at his text. God I am smiling at his text.
<Cute or casual? And what time?>
<How about sexy ;)>
<Shut up. Time?>
<Nine, see you the hot stuff.>
<Omg Rider.>
<Yeah, you'll be repeating that later.>
I roll my eyes but smile when I put my phone down. At least I have something to do now. I should probably be concerned with the fact he hasn't mentioned his dead father to me yet, but maybe that's why he wants me over tonight. As a distraction. The Serpents didn't mention the death either. It's only eleven in the morning but there's no way people don't know by now.
To fuel my curiosity, I go back to everyone downstairs. Who I find left in the living room is Asher back in the same chair, Vona laying across one couch, Geo and Kai on another, Tony in the other chair, and Lavender laying across the last couch left.
I walk over to Lavender, lift her legs up, sit down, and put her legs back over me. I catch Geo staring.
"Try not to be jealous." I smirk.
"You guys need to chill. We're friends, right Lavender?" He says defensively as if I definitely just caught him drooling over her.
"Yeah, of course." She winks. He definitely could have passed out at that.
"So that's why you're all still here? We are friends now?" I shoot my brows up in surprise. Who would have thought.
"The best of friends." Asher mutters.
