"How can you be so sure she will show up?"

"Watch it with how much you question me boy." He narrows his eyes at me. I shrug, needing an answer.

"She will need to show up because her services will be bid on during the auction. Starting at one million dollars."

Vienna

"The theme will be black, red, and gold. End of fucking discussion." I state, annoyed as ever, and lean back in my chair dramatically.

Asher has been fighting me this whole meeting. Everything he disagrees with me on. What a pain in my ass. I glare at him sitting at the other head of the table in my dining room.

"It's February. Still winter. Blues and Silvers make more sense." He shoots back at me.

"Why the actual fuck do you care what the colors are?" I glance to the Shadows for any help at all. Everyone else has their head on a swivel like as if they are watching a tennis match.

"Because princess, not everything has to be your way." He crosses his arms and leans back in his chair.

"Call me that again. Do it. I dare you." I lean forward now, one hand on the table, the other on my thigh right above my dagger.

"OKAY." Lavender says, standing up from her seat at the middle of the long table. "Cool it off. We will compromise. Black, blue, and silver. Got it? Good." She sits back down in a huff.

"Fine." I mutter under my breath and lean back once again.

"I need to remember to bring popcorn to these meetings." Tony says with a laugh. Asher rolls his eyes.

"I need to remember to not come sober." Vona adds in.

"Anyways. Now that we have the colors down, let's talk about music." Anna says, trying to change the subject.

"I want to fucking party, but I also want dance like a lady." Lavender swirls the wine in her glass.

"Well, that clears it up." Anna rolls her eyes.

"We'll have a live band and orchestra. Easy. Next." Tony waves his hand.

"I don't know how we are going to pull this off in one week." I say, taking a big sip from my drink.

"We will get it done as long as we keep focus. Now, what is everyone wearing?" Lillian says to the table, but her eyes are pointed at Kai.

"Navy blue suit."

"Black suit, blue vest, and silver tie."

"Love it Tony!" Anna chirps.

"Royal blue dress."

"Silver dress."

"Light blue dress."

"All black." Asher mutters, not really to anyone in particular.

"How boring." I drawl.

"Okay Vienna, what are you wearing?" He narrows his eyes at me.

"Asher! At least take me out on a date first, be a gentleman."

"Oh shut the fuck up." He rolls his eyes.

"You're too easy."

"I bet you hear that often."

"If you can't pull me just say that."

"You wish I would fuck you princess."

"Don't fucking call me that you ass!" I stand up now, what a fucking prick. Asher also stands up, leaning forward on the table.
