Before I knew it, everyone was talking about retrieving my Mom. The news spread like wild fire. Michael called me to the planning room. I sat in there silently. I felt as though I did something wrong and Michael was the principle. He walked in, he rubbed the back of his neck.
"You can't come" He sighed. He braced himself for impact.
"What? Why not! She is my Mom! You wouldn't even know where she was without me! It took you 15 years to find me! Imagine someone who is actually trying to hide from you!" I yell loudly, anger boiling out of me.
"What do you mean?" He frowned.
"Channing has filled me in. I know what you did to her, I know what you did to me" I spit the words out like acid.
"You don't know anything, I tried to protect her" He slammed his fist onto the desk.
"Make me a promise" I stared him straight in the eyes. "If I stay with you for the rest of my life, you make yourself forget" I frown.
"Forget what?" He arches his eyebrows.
"Michael" I answer quickly with a stern voice.
"I'm still Caleb" He frowns.
"No, you're two different people. And Caleb is my Father" I slit my eyes.
"Fine" He says angrily. He began walking out the door. "You're still not going" He frowns deeply.
"I can't promise that" I smirk. He looked like he was about to turn around and slap me. Instead, he turns and hugs me. I am astonished. I've never felt this fatherly love, Tristan just held me prisoner, and I had a different kind of relationship with Zander.
"I won't turn you into a weapon. I promise. I'm still your father. And I still love you" He releases me and walks out the door. I look around the room. To see if anyone saw that. I thought Michael was heartless. I didn't see him as my father, but now, I'm not so sure. I smooth my shirt and walk out of the room. All the angels gathered in the planning room. The only person not invited was me. Even Ally, who they went and retrieved, was there. I sat behind the doors listening. The plan seemed possible. Simple. All the angels and extras would storm her fortress in some city for the supernatural. Then a select few would sneak into the castle and rescue my Mom. Michael and Ally are the only notable people who are in the rescue team. Channing is being put at the front lines. The rest was about different attack plans. I began dozing off, then I heard a loud bang and then shuffling. I quickly realized they were leaving. I jumped up and hid behind a wall. They all walked out and to their places. Michael and Ally never left. I ran back behind the door and heard whispering.
"You know what we have to do. I need to know you're okay with that" Michael whispered.
"As long as Tristan isn't there. Then yes" She whimpered a bit.
"Joseph will be stuck right in the middle of the place and then it'll get the job done. All we got to do is get her out and then we drop him in" Michael said a little louder with confidence. Oh my God, they're going to blow up the fortress.
"Are you sure we should let that many people die?" Ally said with uncertainty.
"The sacrifice must be made" Michael sighed. They're killing everyone in the fortress. That means Channing. I won't let that happen. I ran to my quarters. I laid in my bed thinking of my plan. Tristan came in minutes later. He sat on my bed.
"I know you heard everything" He smiled.
"What, how?" I stared.
"You began snoring, so I accidentally kicked the door" He chuckled.
"Thanks, I didn't hear your role in all this" I frowned.
"I'm playing babysitter" He laughed lightly.
"Good" I sighed.
"I thought you would protest" He had a concentrated look.
"They're gonna blow up the fortress with everyone in it" I breathed in heavily.
"I know" He looked down.
"What?! You're gonna let them all die?!" I yelled.
"I'm not happy about it, okay?" He sighed.
"Get out of my room" I looked away from him. He stood up and used his cane to get to my door. He walked out with disappointment in his eyes. They're leaving tonight. I have to stop them. I will stop them.
