"I didn't say that." sagot ko. The light turns red. He faced me while we were waiting for the green light. He was grinning at me because of my reply to his question.
I arch one brow at him while my arms are crossed against my chest, "I did like the kiss, but I don't like the idea that you can kiss me whenever you want to,"
Biglang sumeryoso ulit 'yung mukha niya, "May I ask why? That kiss was nothing but a payment anyway."
"Good. That kiss was nothing to me, either." We were staring at each other, but then the car in front of us moves kaya nagdrive na ulit si Cash.

We went to an Italian restaurant because I was craving some pasta.
"Are you planning to get your own unit soon?" he asked after we ordered our food.
I shook my head, "Nah, I'm just waiting for mine. Why? Excited ka na bang ma-solo ako?" I said while grinning at him.
He gave me a shrug, "Maybe,"
"Ako... excited na akong masolo ka," I frankly admitted to him and gave him my most flirtatious grin.
I saw how the side of his lips rose, "Where are you moving?"
"Empire Building,"
"Empire?!" gulat na tanong niya kaya napakunot 'yung noo ko tapos narinig ko siyang tumawa nang mahina.
"Why?"
"Why didn't I realize it sooner?" he mumbles, and he looks as if he has realized something by the way he chuckles.
"Bakit ka ngumingiti mag-isa riyan?"
"I'm the friend who helped Baker's cousin to get a unit from the Empire,"
"You're the connection?" I exclaimed. Some of the customers looked at our table.
He nodded his head at me with a smile on his lips. "Wow!" was all I could say.
